Discover ApplePay 10% Bonus “One-Time Courtesy” Credits Posting on December Statements

Good morning everyone.  I just got an email from Discover stating that my December statement was available to view.  I eagerly logged into my Discover It Credit Card account to see if my ApplePay 10% cash back bonus posted.  Last month, I wrote Discover ApplePay 10% Bonus “One-Time Courtesy” Credits Not Posting on November Statements, where I shared my experience with not receiving the bonus cash back in November.  Prior to that post, I wrote Discover Honors ApplePay Gift Card Purchases as “One-Time Courtesy” through 9/17/2015, where I showed the good and bad emails from Discover (good email shown below).

Anyway, after logging into my Discover It Credit Card account, I saw $112.48 as an ApplePay 10% cash back bonus.  Since there is a 1-2 month lag between making the purchase and receiving the cash back, I looked at all my purchases from the last year and exported them to a spreadsheet.

Discover It Cash Back Summary 12-7-2015

After filtering the transactions by only ApplePay transactions and then sorting the transactions by date, I found that the first 3 ApplePay purchases I made at Walgreens (September 16-17) totaled $1,124.70.  10% of $1,124.70 is $112.47, which is one cent less than the $112.48 that Discover posted to my December statement.

I still have $1,700+ of ApplePay purchases that I made after September 17 that have not posted as an ApplePay cash back bonus yet.  It will be interesting to see how much cash back Discover will post on my next statement.  Unfortunately, I will have to wait until my next statement closes which will be early next month.

Did you receive a big cash back bonus for your ApplePay purchases?  If so, please let me know below.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!
