Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is going well.  I was recently approved for 6 new credit cards during my June App-O-Rama and here is a look at 3 of my new credit cards:

  • Bank of America Amtrak Guest Rewards World MasterCard
  • Bank of America Alaska Airlines Business Visa Credit Card
  • Barclays Lufthansa Miles & More MasterCard

Here is the front and back of the Bank of America Amtrak Guest Rewards World MasterCard:

Here are the details of the 20,000 Amtrak Guest Rewards Points sign up bonus and features of the credit card.  The credit card provides a welcome gift, anniversary gift, and a 5% rebate on redeemed Amtrak Guest Rewards Points.

Here is the front and back of the Bank of America Alaska Airlines Business Visa Credit Card:

Here are the details of the 30,000 Alaska Airlines miles sign up bonus and the Alaska Airlines companion ticket.  You pay the full price for the first passenger and your companion can fly the same exact route for $99-$125.  Great deal that I have used many times!  Bank of America also sent me a letter with my Experian credit score as of June 22, 2016.

Here is the front and back of the Barclays Lufthansa Miles & More MasterCard:

Here are the details of the Lufthansa business lounge passes and companion ticket (I have not received either as of today).

I’m confused, you mention you calculate it’s a 14.5% rebate on paid travel, but isn’t the rebate on redeemed points? Like you redeem 2000 pts they give you 100 back? Another question, is the Amtrak companion coupon good on award travel? My guess is no.

I was implying that you use Amtrak points to pay for an Amtrak trip.

      I guess my math was off. 2000 Amtrak points = $58, therefore 100 Amtrak points = $2.90. $2.90 / $58 = 5% rebate. Let me update the post.

I think the companion ticket is only valid for paid travel, not award travel.

How often do you book Alaska Airlines operated flights? If you only book 1 or 2 Alaska Airlines flights a year, I would use the Companion Pass code for the first booking. If you book several Alaska Airlines flights a year, I would try to use this code when you book a flight over $500.
