When will the $650 Statement Credit Post for the Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card?

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  I was in Washington, D.C. over the weekend for the third annual Boarding Area Conference (BACON for short).  I learned a lot and have a lot of work to do to get my blog to the next level.  The Boarding Area team and myself will be making changes to the site, so you may notice a few minor changes to the header and sidebar over the next few weeks.  If any of the changes look bad or don’t work as well as they did before, please let me know and I will take a look at the issue.

Without further ado, let’s talk about the $650 statement credit that is the sign up bonus for the Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.  My credit card statement just closed a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised / anxiously waiting for the statement credit to post to my account.  If you followed my instructions on How to Purchase New Apple iPhone 7 with Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card, you should be fine.

When I logged into my Citi online account, I saw a credit balance of $650.

I then looked at my credit card transactions to see that my iPhone 7 purchase posted on September 20.  In reality, I pre-ordered the iPhone 7 and the charge didn’t go through until my order was processed and shipped, so the paid date is a little off, but that doesn’t really matter.  When I called Citi a few weeks ago, the rep said that the $650 statement credit will post within 2 statement periods.  Since my credit card statement closes around the first of the month, I was expecting the statement credit to post in early October or early November.  October came and went, but I’m glad the statement credit posted to my account in early November.

I don’t use my Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card very much, so I called Citi again (I almost have their number memorized) and asked the rep to transfer the $650 credit balance to my Citi Premier Credit Card which I use very frequently.  Within 2 days, the credit balance moved from my Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card and posted to my Citi Premier Credit Card.

P.S. I also got a pretty good retention/targeted spending offer on my Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card which you can read about here: Striking out on Citi Prestige and AMEX Platinum Retention Offers.

Glad to hear that you received your credit in 2 statements. I’m waiting on mine. My second statement will close on the 17th. Though, if anything like my 4th night free benefit (Prestige) I’ll be lucky if I ever get the credit. I waited 6 billing cycles for my last “free night” w/ Prestige. I’m starting to think that Citi’s credits are not worth it considering how long they take to get.

Hmm, that’s way too long for the fourth night free benefit statement credit to post. If it ever seems like the statement credit is taking too long to post, call Citi and see if they can help expedite the credit. Don’t be afraid to ask for compensation if you have a bad experience with one of their credit cards. Hopefully your $650 statement credit posts to your upcoming statement. Keep me posted :)

This post doesn’t seem very relevant since most readers either can’t get this card or already gotten the 650.00 statement.

I’m very sorry that Citi no longer offers a sign up bonus on this credit card (you can still product change to it from an existing Citi credit card, but you do not get the $650 statement credit sign up bonus). I’m sure there are a few people out there that have this credit card but have not redeemed their sign up bonus for a new AT&T phone. Thanks for reading, hopefully the next post will be more relevant. Have a great day :)

This post saved me calling to ask why the $650 credit hasn’t posted yet. It is a bit disappointing that Citi doesn’t see the AT&T EStore charge on the statement and issue the credit on the same statement.

Yes, that would seem to be simple enough (kind of like how AMEX statement credits automatically post after making a qualifying charge on an AMEX Offer). Glad I could save you a call to Citi.
