Good afternoon everyone, I wanted to give a quick shout out to those of you who attended the San Francisco travel meetup last night with Tonei and myself – it was great talking to you all and I hope you all had a great time. Anyway, a few days ago, a new AMEX Offer came out where you could earn 1,000 American Express Membership Reward Points for making a $100 payment toward your cable or satellite TV bill. To make it even better, American Express let you do that up to 3 times. If you made 3 payments of $100 or more, you would receive 3,000 American Express Membership Reward Points. That seemed easy enough, so I eagerly added the offer to my American Express Everyday Credit Card. Sadly, this was my only credit card that was eligible for this AMEX Offer, otherwise, I would have added the offer to all my American Express credit cards and prepaid for cable for the next few years :)
I logged onto AT&T and made 3 bill payments: $100.01, $100.02, and $100.03. I didn’t want American Express to flag my credit card for making 3 $100.00 payments within a few minutes of each other, so I changed the amount slightly from one payment to the next. The 3 payments posted to my credit card on August 3.
2 days later on August 5, the 3,000 American Express Membership Reward Points posted to my account. That was easy, thank you American Express. Then I logged back into my AT&T account and changed the default payment method back to my Chase Ink Plus Business Credit Card to earn 5x Chase Ultimate Reward Points.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone.
Thanks for your reminder. l almost forgot this AMEX offer. I have 7 cards for this offer ( 4 cards for 1000 MR, 3 cards for 10% cash back). I will prepaid $2100 by 11/15/17.
That’s a great deal you have, glad you got the offers on so many AMEX CCs :)
