Is Breakfast Included for Hilton Honors Diamond Elite Members at Hotel Del Coronado?

Attention Hilton members, especially you Diamonds in the rough! It has been ROUGH sorting through all the information on the Hotel Del Coronado and the benefits elites will receive. It’s been especially confusing knowing whether or not the hotel will have an executive lounge and how the breakfast benefit will be handled. After all, a day of fun in the sun requires a hearty breakfast.

Tomorrow (August 9) is the big day, so earlier today, I stopped in to The Del and asked the questions we all want answered! The usual Hilton Honors Diamond elite benefits will be available, and the staff has all received training on the different Hilton Honors elite levels.

There will NOT be an executive lounge.  Breakfast is at the Sheerwater Restaurant and for breakfast, it’s a buffet. The price is $38, and as of right now, they still do not know what will happen for Hilton Honors Diamond elites and how breakfast will be handled.

I know this isn’t the best of news in the sense that you might arrive there in the early days of the transition and still not know what to expect. But the staff at the reception desk and the concierges are all excited about the change and ready to do their best to make your stay a great one!

If you do stay at The Del in the next few days, please let us know if breakfast at the Sheerwater Restaurant is included for Hilton Diamond Elite members.

This just in from Hotel del Coronado on Twitter:

I had contacted reservations a couple weeks ago and they had no idea about anything Hilton and told me to talk to the concierge. I think I’ll wait a bit to see what they come up with. You’d think they’ve had time since the announcement to figure it out.

HI ss, If I find anything out, you can be sure I’ll let everyone know. Not sure what the hold up is, but you’re right, they’ve got to get their policy set and soon! Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Still no cash availability for March showing on the Hilton website – availability there on third party websites like booking.com etc. Is this a glitch?

HI Evan, I also noticed that for many days and months no cash availability for The Del on Hilton’s website. You might want to reach out to the twitter teams of The Del and Hilton and see what they say. Let us know if you find out what’s up. Thank you and have a great day!

That’s the normal breakfast policy and mirrors that of nearby Hilton branded properties (Bayfront, Harbor Island, among others), so no surprise there. Are there actually any Curio properties with a lounge? Those seem increasingly rare even at traditional HH locations.

HI Carl, I did take a look at the 47 Curio properties and didn’t see any mention of lounges at any of them. That’s why I was wondering what took The Del so long to announce their breakfast policy for elites. Glad the twitter team contacted us last night to clarify the issue. Have a great day!
