US Bank FlexPerks Rewards Website Gets a Facelift (But No New Features)

Good morning everyone.  A few days ago, I was on the US Bank FlexPerks Rewards website and noticed that the layout was new and refreshed.  I wanted to see if US Bank added any new features to this website, but as far as I can tell, the facelift looks nice, but there are no new features added.  One new change is immediately apparent on the homepage.  You can sign in with your last name, first initial, zipcode, and last 4 digits your US Bank FlexPerks Rewards Credit Card.

If you prefer to login the old fashioned way, you can enter your FlexPoints number and last 4 digits of your US Bank FlexPerks Rewards Credit Card number.

I have 2 US Bank credit cards that earn FlexPoints, so the first half of this post will cover the US Bank FlexPerks Rewards Gold American Express Credit Card.  Then toward the bottom of the page, I will cover the no annual fee US Bank FlexPerks Select+ American Express Credit Card.  Here is Events & Promotions tab for the US Bank FlexPerks Rewards Gold American Express Credit Card.  The new layout is nice and I can see all the events on one page.

I have never done a cooking class or celebrity event through a credit card, but they have some information about the James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour.

You can also redeem FlexPoints toward the annual fee.  Funny story, redeeming 5,000 FlexPoints to cover the $85 annual fee is actually the best use of FlexPoints nowadays (1.7 cents per FlexPoint beats the standard 1.5 CPP when booking travel with FlexPoints).

On the Card Benefits tab, you can see all the benefits you receive from your credit card.

Here is a reminder of the bonus categories on the US Bank FlexPerks Rewards Gold American Express Credit Card.  3x at restaurants, 2x at gas stations, 2x on airlines, and 1x everywhere else American Express is accepted.

You can also receive a $100 statement credit toward the cost of Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.

Up next, here is the no annual fee US Bank FlexPerks Select+ American Express Credit Card.  This credit card offers similar events on their Events & Promotions tab.

On the Card Benefits tab, the one thing that caught my attention was the “CONNECT from American Express.”

Apparently, this credit card (and my other US Bank issued American Express credit card) is eligible for AMEX Offers.

The funny thing about this is that I believe American Express discontinued AMEX Offers for non American Express issued credit cards.  This post from Doctor of Credit says that you cannot enroll in AMEX Offers via Facebook and Twitter, so I am unsure how you would enroll your US Bank FlexPerks Rewards Credit Card in AMEX Offers.  That makes me think that this page is a mistake and needs to be changed.

I personally check the US Bank FlexPerks Rewards website once a month to see if there are any targeted offers or promotions available.  There haven’t been anything useful in a few months, but since the 2018 Winter Olympics is running, you can sign up for the US Bank FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card and earn bonus FlexPoints based on how many medals Team USA wins.  If you do decide to sign up for that offer, please use my FlexPoints number (400005503422) in the referral box.  Thank you!
