Google Flights Price Tracking, WOW Air KEF-SFO & JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Travel Credit

Good morning everyone, happy Thursday.  I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to everyone who attended the SF Travel Hackers March Meetup last night.  I gave a presentation about my recent trip to Iguazu Falls, Argentina.  I will work on getting that presentation turned into a blog post “soon”.  In today’s post, I will show you how I used Google Flights to track a WOW Air flight from Reykjavik, Iceland (KEF) to San Francisco (SFO).  I’ve always been interested in Iceland, and even more so after reading Whitney’s posts (Iceland & What I Wish I Had Known Before Going – Part 1 and Part 2).

I’ve been planning a trip to Iceland for the last few weeks and knew the dates I wanted to travel, but I just had to wait for the price to go down.  One of the many great things about Google Flights is that you can track specific routes on specific days, and you can even track specific flights on specific days.  I received the following email from Google Flights that the WOW Air flight I was tracking dropped from $469 to $263.  Granted, this is not the cheapest possible WOW Flight I have ever seen, but the price was right for me so I jumped on the deal.

Use Visa Infinite Credit Card to get $100 off Roundtrip Domestic Flights (Discount Air Benefit)

Good morning everyone, happy Friday!  In this post, I will show you how to use your JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Visa Infinite Credit Card to get $100 off round trip domestic flights.  Unfortunately, if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve Visa Infinite Credit Card, you are not eligible for this benefit.

It all started when I was looking for flights down to Orange County for Super Bowl weekend (Sunday, February 5, 2017).  United Airlines is/was having a fare sale for SFO-SNA and I found a great round trip flight for $127.  My brother (who now lives in the Bay Area – Larkspur to be specific) also wanted to fly down to Orange County that weekend, so I was excited to use the new Visa Infinite Discount Air Benefit.

Unboxing my JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Visa Infinite Credit Card: Cart Art & Welcome Packet

Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  This post has been in the works for almost a week.  I wanted to document everything that came with the new JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Visa Infinite Credit Card to show everyone exactly what the card looks like and all the items that come inside the welcome packet.  First things first, the top 2 images are of the old JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Visa Signature Credit Card that I received in December 2014, when the sign up bonus was 140,000 Ritz Carlton points (basically Marriott Rewards points) and a few other perks.  The bottom 2 images are of the new JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Visa Infinite Credit Card.  Personally, I like that card art on the old design better because the lion is bigger.  Both cards feel and weigh exactly the same.  If you have the old card and want the new card, just call the number on the back of your card and request a new Visa Infinite credit card be sent to you.

Visa Infinite Cardmembers: Dedicated VIP Airport Security Lane in Montreal (YUL), Vancouver (YVR) & Ottawa (YOW)

Good morning everyone.  I am sure by this point everyone and their mother has at least one Visa Infinite credit card, right?  If you do and you happen to find yourself traveling through Montreal, Vancouver, or Ottawa airport, remember to check out the “Dedicated VIP security fast track lane.”  My friend was flying back from Vancouver, Canada, last weekend and he saw a special security line for Visa Infinite cardmembers.  He pulled out his new Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit Card and breezed through security.  He said the line was much faster and easier than TSA PreCheck in the United States.

I couldn’t find much information about this benefit, but I stumbled onto visainfinite.ca (Canadian site – no corresponding US site) that is exclusively for “Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders.”  Truth be told, I’m not sure if “Visa Infinite Privilege” is the same thing as “Visa Infinite” or if it is a higher, *more privileged* level.  Does anyone know?

Reminder: Max out your $300 Travel Reimbursement Credit on JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Credit Card

Good morning everyone.  As the end of the year quickly approaches, I wanted to remind those of you that have a JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Credit Card to max out your $300 travel reimbursement credit by December 31, 2015.  I have talked about the travel reimbursement credit several times in the past (once, twice, and thrice), but you still have time to take advantage of the offer in 2015.  If you are unsure how much of your $300 travel reimbursement credit you have left, call the number on the back of your Ritz Carlton credit card to find out.  I called last week and was told that I had $36.53 left for 2015.  Spoiler alert: I maxed out the travel reimbursement credit for 2015.
