What’s on my Mind? Grand Canyon National Park, Flagstaff Extreme Obstacle Course, Bearizona Wildlife Park, and Bedrock City

Greetings from Phoenix and the US Airways Club Lounge!  My brother and I are on our way to the Grand Canyon this President’s Day Weekend.  Points and Pixie Dust reminded me that this weekend is free admission to all National Parks (link), so that should save you some extra bucks.

I wrote about possible ways to use British Airways Avios for flights on US Airways as soon as they join the OneWorld Alliance (starting March 31) here.

I am open for suggestions on things to do going to/from the Grand Canyon, but we already made plans to experience the Flagstaff Extreme obstacle course (located close to Flagstaff Airport).  Here is their Trip Advisor page.

Check out this YouTube video to see what it’s like (warning: not for scaredy cats afraid of heights):

After that, we drive toward the Grand Canyon with a stop at the Bearizona Wildlife Park in Williams, Arizona.  Check out their Trip Advisor page here.

Last but not least, a quick stop at Bedrock City to take a picture of the giant Fred Flinston cut-out.  Here is the Trip Advisor page.

After dropping off our bags at the Holiday Inn Express Grand Canyon (hotel review to come?), we drive a few more miles to get to the Grand Canyon Visitor Center (Google Maps itinerary).

I have to leave soon to catch my flight, but let me know if you have any suggestions for things to do/see along the way.  Have a great 3 day weekend everyone!

Bonus tip: check out your American Express Offers For You for a money making opportunity.  That’s all I can say without spilling the Beans…

Also, a company emailed me this infographic about pay per use WiFi on planes.  Interesting?
