Hidden Gems of Visa Savings Edge: National Rental Cars, Alamo Rental Cars, Park Whiz, and GO Airport Shuttles

If you have a Visa Business Credit Card (probably a Chase Ink Bold or Chase Ink Plus Credit Card), you probably already know about Visa Savings Edge, if not, please read this post.  Staples is probably the only partner you use on Visa Savings Edge.  The concept is simple: use you Visa Business Credit Card at Staples or on Staples.com and receive a 1% statement credit on all orders of $200 or more.

After you enroll in Visa Savings Edge and add your Visa Business Credit Cards, you do not need to do anything else.  The statement credits automatically post to your Visa Business Credit Card account within a few days.  The process couldn’t be any easier or simpler.

The purpose of this post is to highlight some of the other Visa Savings Edge partners that you may not be aware of.  Here are all the current partners:

All the partners that have red boxes around them are part of the Wyndham Hotel chain.

I did not know Wyndham had so many hotel brands under their control.  Personally, I am not a fan of Wyndham hotels, but you may come across some of these hotel brands at one point or another.

With that said, National Car Rental has a pretty good offer.  Use your Visa Business Credit Card and receive a 4% statement credit on rental car bookings of $100 or more.  I have not personally tested this, but you may be able to buy $100 National Card Rental gift cards or certificates and receive the 4% statement credit.  If anyone has done that, please let me know.

The offer is almost identical for Alamo Car Rentals.  You will receive a 4% statement credit for all car rentals of $100 or more.  The gift card trick might work as well.  If anyone has bought an Alamo gift card or certificate and received the statement credit, please let me know.

Park Whiz is a company I knew nothing about 2 hours ago.  Apparently they partner with many parking lots and parking structures across the country and allow you to prepay for your parking and print out your parking permit/voucher.  This is great for parking near popular events like sports venues or stadiums.  You will receive a 5% statement credit on all purchases, with no minimum purchase size required.

I searched on Park Whiz for parking near Staples Center.  I specific a date (apparently the LA Lakers are playing the LA Clippers on this date) and found some super cheap parking a few blocks from the Staples Center.  You can’t beat parking for only $3.30!

The terms are a bit restrictive, but the 32 recommendations and 17 comments are pretty reassuring.

Last but not least, Go Airport Shuttles provides shuttle rides to/from airports, nearby hotels, and local businesses.  It is similar to Super Shuttle and operates in many domestic and international locations.  You will receive a 10% statement credit on all reservations.  Create an account and book you rentals here.

Interesting post. Thanks. I’m always a little reluctant to use my Ink card for personal car rentals just because of the credit card insurance issue. I honestly don’t think it would be a problem, but it always seems better “safe than sorry” on this. Four percent probably doesn’t change that equation for me.
