Test Drive Kia ($25 Visa Gift Card) and Nissan ($25 Amazon/Target Gift Card)

(A big Hat Tip to Will @ Doctor of Credit)

Good afternoon everyone, I have 2 very cool test drive promos to share.  The first promo involves test driving any Kia vehicle and earning a $25 Visa Gift Card.  The second promo involves test driving and Nissan vehicle and earning a $25 Amazon, Target, or Visa Gift Card.  You can sign up for both promos if you want.  This offer is not as lucrative as the Cadillac offer from a few months ago (My 2014 Cadillac CTS Test Drive for 7,500 American Airlines Miles was Awesome), but 2 $25 gift cards for a few minutes of work/driving is good in my book.

To sign up for your Kia test drive, click here.  All you have to do is enter your mailing address (you will receive your $25 Visa Gift Card in the mail 6-8 weeks after completing the test drive).  You must follow these rules: “One $25 Kia Visa® Prepaid Card per household. Test-drive and Kia dealer salesperson validation required. Only the completed certificate with an original Kia dealer salesperson signature and unique Personal Priority Code will be honored” (Doctor of Credit’s original post).

Getting the Nissan offer is a bit trickier and involves a few steps.  The first thing you need to do is go to KBB’s website and enter your current vehicle.  Only certain makes/models/years will trigger the Nissan offer.  I was able to replicate the results a few times by using a “2014 Nissan Cube with 13,550 miles.”  Click the Next button and enter your zipcode (to find local participating Nissan dealerships) (Doctor of Credit’s original post).

If you were lucky, you should see the test drive offer from Nissan at the top of the page.  Click the Offer Details button.

You have your choice of a $25 Amazon, Target, or Visa Gift Card.  Dealing with $25 Visa Gift Cards are a pain, so I would happily rather get a $25 Amazon Gift Card.  Then enter your full name and email address.  Select your preferred dealership and click the Submit button.  Print out and bring your confirmation letter with you to the dealership so the dealer can activate your coupon code.  After the code is activated, you can go online and redeem for your gift card.

My strategy: I currently drive a 2008 Kia Sportage (great car), so I am actually looking forward to test driving a new 2015 Kia Sportage.  As for Nissan, I will try to get the salesman to approve my coupon code without going on the test drive.  Worst case scenario, I test drive a Nissan vehicle and fall in love with the vehicle and purchase it on the spot.  As always, your mileage may vary (pun intended).

If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great evening everyone!

Thanks for the links, Grant. One thing to note about the Nissan deal, it seems to be triggered by zipcode. If people can’t get it to appear, try using the zipcode of the dealership closest to them.

Thank you for the great find, I plan on going tomorrow morning and completing both “test drives.”

It worked for Walnut Creek (94596) but there is a Nissan Dealership in Walnut Creek.

you guys are all dirt bags. you are wasting some sales persons time so you can get a free gift card? What you call 5 minutes of “work” cost some poor sales person and hour of time. they dont get paid hourly they get commission. so you are jacking some guy around while he could be earning a living, all for a $25 gift card. Trashy fu*ks need to get a job and you wont have to waste someones time who has a job and is trying to earn a living!

Thank you for commenting Will, I appreciate your perspective. Even though I did not buy a car this time, I will remember to check out Kia the next time I am looking for a new car. I feel like the Kia promotion accomplished its goal of making me consider Kia in the future. I am currently a proud Kia Sportage owner. Have a great weekend!

Grant & Will, thanks for sharing this. Which option did you choose, the one that you think is most convenient: print, email, or text ? Also any idea of what will you say to the salesman to approve your coupon code without going on the test drive?

I printed both, since the Kia one definitely has to be printed (salesperson must fill it out). You could say: “I’m only here for the promotion and are not interested in purchasing a vehicle at this time. I don’t want to waste your time, so would you be willing to fill out this form for me and I will be on my way?” Something along those lines should work, but just be friendly.

Don’t bother! Test drove and actually purchased a Kia, and never received my $25 gift card. They claim there is a dispute with the gift card company. Poor service. Bad marketing. False advertisement!! Kia of Gilbert AZ.

The same happened to me, I purchased a 2016 Sorento and test drove. Never got my gift card and it’s been 2 months since I made my purchase. Completely false advertisement!
