Good afternoon everyone, here is my latest hotel review of the Radisson Blu Nice.  The hotel is conveniently located a short distance from the NCE Airport.  There are buses that run from the airport to a bus stop across the street from the hotel, but it was late and we decided to take an UberX for under €10.  Here are directions via Google Maps.

Here is what the exterior of the hotel looks like from across the street.  The panoramic photo did not turn out as well as I wanted.  The hotel is a dark shade of yellow and blends in with the surrounding buildings and hotels.

The hotel is only a few feet from the Mediterranean Sea, but the beach is very rocky with little pebbles.  The water is surprisingly warm for mid January but I only touched it with my hand.

At check-in, there is an interesting array of lights on the back wall.  Check-in was quick and easy.  Depending on what time you check-in, the wait might be longer.  I believe several airline crews stay at this hotel.  I saw a few flight attendants from various airlines waiting in the lobby.

The room was very spacious compared to the Radisson Blu Edwardian Mercer Street in London and the Hotel Indigo Paris.  There are 2 twin beds connected in the middle.  The pillows were way to soft for me.  The bright red chair and ottoman were quite comfortable.

On the bed, was a giant bar of Jasmin soap.  It smelled very nice and I saw it in the NCE duty free shop for around €5.  That soap bar probably could have lasted the entire Eurotrip if we took it from the room.

This was the best bathroom so far on the trip.  It had the half shower door (like the Radisson Blu Edwardian Mercer Street), but the water pressure and temperature were perfect.  The bathroom sink and toilet were fine.

Next to the bathroom, there was a small closet with a safe.

In the corner of the room, there was a desk with an electric water heater.

The hotel provided a few bottles of water and the following welcome note.

A fully stocked mini bar was located in the room below the TV and had several sodas and alcoholic drinks.  The mini bar prices are shown below.  We had 2 small bottles of white wine and a Toblerone in the room.

After consuming some of the wine, I decided to lick the big red chili pepper in the room.  No comment on the plastic taste.

Unfortunately, our room did not face the Mediterranean Sea, but we had a great view of the clock tower behind the hotel. *sarcastic*

What are my overall thoughts of the hotel?  Well, it was a fantastic price for 50,000 Club Carlson Points during the Last Night Free promo and it is very conveniently located near the airport.  There are not too many hotels in Nice available on points, so you have slim pickings to begin with.  Other than walking along the beach, there is nothing near the hotel.  However, you can get all over town with the convenient bus network for only €1.50 per person.  You can even take the bus all the way to Monaco (about an hour from the hotel).  I will share some pics from the bus ride (very scenic views along the coast) as well as pics from around Monaco.
