Good evening everyone, happy Friday (aka Apple iPhone 7 / 7 Plus pre-order day)! In this post, I will show you step-by-step instructions on how to purchase a new iPhone 7 using your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card. Unfortunately, this credit card is not currently accepting new applications, but hopefully Citi / AT&T bring in back in the near future. The sign up bonus on this credit card is great – purchase a new AT&T phone and get reimbursed up to $650. Luckily or unluckily, the new iPhone 7 is a little more expensive than $650, so I will get the full $650 statement credit. In July, I shared some info about the AT&T Credit Card card art and earning details, but if you want to learn *absolutely everything* about this credit card, please read Doctor of Credit’s post: All you need to know about Citi AT&T $650 Phone Offer.
To purchase your new iPhone 7 with your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card, log into your Citi online account and go to your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card. You should see a little box with a View Offer link. Click that link to get started.
Click the Continue button to go to the special landing page on AT&T’s website.
If you cannot access the link, here is the direct link to the AT&T Access More Phone Offer. I already have AT&T service and I want to replace my *aging* iPhone 6S, so I clicked the Replace a Phone button.
Log into your AT&T account.
Select which device you want to replace and click the Shop Now button.
Click the Pre-order button for the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.
Select the color and storage capacity (quantities may be limited) then click the Pre-order button.
Review the color, storage capacity and no annual contract price. You will notice that the total price you pay will slowly go up after every page. Currently, it says $749.99 is due today.
Scroll down to select the phone insurance you want. I have never purchased phone insurance, but if you are more cautious than me, select the option that works best for you.
Select a new data plan or keep your current data plan. Pro tip: be a mooch on your family plan, use your Chase Ink Plus Business Credit Card to pay the monthly bill and have your parent’s pay you back for the full monthly charge. #winning
Review your new total and click the Check Out button. Now it says $809.99 is due today.
Here are the full details for using your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card.
Verify that your billing, shipping, and home addresses are correct and enter your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card information. Do not use any other credit card to pay – I’m not even sure if another credit card would be accepted, but don’t try!
Review all the information, enter a cell phone number to get text updates, and click the Submit Order button. Now it says $815.61 is due today (I blame high San Francisco city taxes).
Congratulations, your new iPhone 7 is ordered and your Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card is charged.
I’m not sure how fast the $650 statement credit will post, but I will be sure to write a blog post when I find out. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great weekend everyone!
Fyi, my wife and I both jabbed this card. It takes a long time to get the $650 credit if you buy early. Signed up beginning of June, bought phone a couple weeks later, completed $2000 spend all during the first billing cycle. I am still waiting on the credit, expecting it this month. Same time line with my wife who got the card in December.
Not sure how it works if you meet $2000 first, wait until after 3mo to purchase the phone. May get credit faster that way….
Hmm, maybe Citi had some IT issues in the past regarding the $650 statement credit. I hope it posts soon, but I’ll keep you posted when it does.
hi grant plz tell me how this citi card works
Is this a one time benefit? I got the card and the phone deal when the card was introduced. i seem to recall the phone was a önce in 18 month”benefit. is that right?
I believe it is a 1 time only benefit, per Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card. If you already got your $650 statement credit, I don’t think you can ever get it again.
What if you don’t have the AT&T account? , but only the credit card (just signedup).
Thanks,
Are you planning on getting AT&T service or do you just want to buy a new phone, get the $650 statement credit and sell the phone?
Hi, what can I do if I need to sign up for this card now since the new applications is already closed, do we have any other cards which gives offer like this?
Sorry, you are out of luck. No other credit cards like this card is currently available.
