Targeted US Bank Club Carlson Personal & Business Credit Card Offers

Good morning everyone!  Yesterday, I received targeted offers from US Bank for my personal and business Club Carlson credit cards.  The offers are not amazing (for me, at least), but you may have better offers, so check your mail box.  The first offer is for my US Bank Club Carlson Personal Credit Card.  I can earn up to 2,000 bonus Club Carlson points for spending $2,000 at retail stores and restaurants from November 1 through December 31.

Here are the complete terms and conditions for my offer.  I dislike that US Bank makes you wait several weeks/months after the promo ends to get the bonus points, so the earliest I will see the bonus points will be sometime in February or March 2017.

The next offer is for my US Bank Club Carlson Business Credit Card.  I can earn up to 5,000 bonus Club Carlson points for spending $1,000 at restaurants from November 1 through December 31.

I definitely will not go for the personal offer, since 1 bonus Club Carlson point is not worth much.  5,000 Club Carlson points is probably worth $20-$30 to me.  My current go-to restaurant credit card is the US Bank Cash+ Credit Card that earns 2% cash back at restaurants and 5% cash back at fast food restaurants.  If I spend the entire $1,000 at restaurants, I would earn $20 at a minimum.  I also need to factor in the base earning of 5x on the US Bank Club Carlson Business Credit Card, so $1,000 spent at restaurants would be 5,000 base points + 5,000 bonus points = 10,000 Club Carlson points, which is equal to $40-$60 to me.  In that case, I think my US Bank Club Carlson Business Credit Card has a higher earning rate (on the first $1,000 spent) than my US Bank Cash+ Credit Card.

Did you get a similar/better/worse offer on your Club Carlson credit card?  Let me know in the comments.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!
