Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card: 10,000 Bonus Thank You Points Post Before $95 Annual Fee

Good morning everyone, happy Sunday.  Last June, I applied for the Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card and have been waiting all year for the annual fee to post.  Why?  When you spend $10,000 or more on the Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card during your cardmember year, you will receive 10,000 bonus Citi Thank You Points when you anniversary comes around.  In this post, I will shows you when the 10,000 bonus Citi Thank You Points post and when the $95 annual fee posts (hint: the bonus points post before the annual fee).  Here are a few pages from the Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card directory of services:

The 10,000 bonus Citi Thank You Points appeared on my June 2017 credit card statement.

After logging into my Citi Thank You Point account, I saw that the 10,000 bonus Citi Thank You Points posted on June 6, 2017.

Fast forward to this month and the $95 annual fee posted to my Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card on July 5, 2017, almost a full month after the 10,000 bonus Citi Thank You Points posted to my account.

Here is my July 2017 credit card statement showing the $95 annual fee.

I called Citi a few days ago to see if there were any retention offers or ways to waive the annual fee, but I was only offered 0% APR and balance transfer offers.  After crunching the numbers, I decided to keep my Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card and not downgrade to the no annual fee version.  Now that my Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card annual fee posted, I will start spending to hit my $10,000 bonus threshold.  If you want to learn more about the Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card, check out these other blog posts:

Is it worth trying to Product change? And any idea if it still provides 3X for buying gift cards on ebay from sellers like SVM?

Recently, Citi announced that the 3x wouldn’t be valid for rent/mortgage/gift cards as of late July. Not sure how this will pan out (might not code correctly or take affect on everything), but definitely worth it to keep in mind if you’re thinking about opening/product changing to one.

Grant, have you found a reliable way to track which online purchases earn 3x and which ones don’t? I know there’s a few lists of stores floating around on FT and other blogs, but those lists aren’t always updated.

No reliable way to find out other than looking at the credit card statement and dividing the number of 3x TYP transactions by 3 and then trying to match up which transactions probably posted as 3x. Not a great system :(

I currently have the Prestige card, it’s my only Citibank card. I want to product change it to the ATTAM card and start earning 3X the points, do you know if the ATTAM card still has the ability to transfer TYPs to loyalty programs or can that only be done with the Prestige/TYPremier? I figured if it has a $95 AF it should have the ability to transfer points.

The Citi AT&T Access More Credit Card has the same transfer partners as the Citi Thank You Premier Credit Card and Citi Prestige Credit Card. I think the only difference is that the Citi Prestige Credit Card can book travel at a higher cent per point value.
