40% Bonus when you Buy Alaska Airlines Miles (Expires Feb 7)

I love the photo in this ad for Alaska Airlines miles! In case you don’t know, it’s called a FLYING ANGEL. When I was a kid, I was the one who gave everyone flying angels. It was so cool to be able to lift people in the air and help them fly! Little did I know, I would grow up to be the one who flew so often :) Where was I? Oh yeah… If you want extra Alaska Airlines miles, you better hurry! Tomorrow, February 7 is the last day to get in on this deal. This deal is not targeted and it is the cheapest you’ll ever see Alaska Airlines miles go on sale for. Purchase 15,000+ miles and you will get a 40% bonus. My best redemption using Alaska Airlines miles was on Emirates for an amazing First Class experience. I also used Alaska Airlines miles for Cathay Pacific business class flights. I’m really looking forward to using my Alaska Airlines miles on Condor. How wonderful that will be to fly nonstop to Europe from San Diego!

As always, let math be your friend when you’re figuring out if this is a good deal for you. Thinking ahead about your travel plans for 2018, and knowing your Alaska Airlines mileage balance helps you decide whether or not you’ll make use of Alaska Airlines miles. For me, as an Alaska Airlines flyer and living on the West Coast, I can never have enough Alaska Airlines miles. Here are the airlines that partner with Alaska Airlines. Unfortunately, the Air France / KLM partnership will be ending soon. Where’s your next Alaska Airlines mileage award ticket taking you? Let me know!

HI Robert, Did you log in to your account and have you been a Mileage Plan member for more than 10 days? Most people seem to be seeing the 40% start with a purchase of 20,000 AS miles in a single transaction. What are you seeing?

It wouldn’t say a discount, but it would read 20,000 + and then show you the bonus miles. So for the 40% bonus it would read 20,000+8000 =$550. Sorry you didn’t get in on this one. AS made it sound like it was a public offer, but I see some people’s accounts don’t offer it this time around. Thanks for letting me know, Jamie. I appreciate the feedback and data point.

Did not get the email but the offer is on both my wife’s account and mine.

Buy 20,000+ miles and get 40% bonus miles. Offer ends February 7, 2018.
    1,000 – 19,000 miles = No bonus
    20,000+ miles = 40% bonus

But with combined balance of 321K AK miles and no plans, not sure if we will bite!

I can see why you’re on the fence with this offer. Did you mean Alaska or American with those 321K miles? Either way I think plans are in order over dinner tonight :) Thanks for reading and adding that you didn’t get the email but did find the offer in your accounts. I think Alaska confuses people with their wording.

We have more than 321K AK or Alaska Miles – AA miles are not worth as much as AK’s. Our AA balances are a bit over 105K after we burned 264K on our last 4 Biz award seats LAX-KIX-BKK.

Indeed, plans are in order over dinner tonight :)

Also what’s different about our offer is minimum mileage bought to trigger that 40% bonus is 20K and not 15K.

        Cheers!

“This deal is not targeted and it is the cheapest you’ll ever see Alaska Airlines miles go on sale for.” Back in August I was targeted for 50% bonus
