Do you Want to Use Radisson Rewards Free Award Nights at International Hotels? (Like / Retweet Me)

Good morning everyone, I need your help!  Yesterday, Club Carlson rebranded and changed their name to Radisson Rewards.  They made a few changes to the program (read Doctor of Credit’s post for more details), but one of the most interesting changes was this: “Co-branded credit cards from U.S. Bank now earn a free night for every $10,000 in spend, up to a maximum of three free nights for $30,000+ in spend.”  Historically, only Club Carlson Radisson Rewards properties in the United States are eligible for the free night awards.

According to Frequent Miler’s post, “Unfortunately, you’re limited to using those free nights at properties in the US. Radisson Hotel Group doesn’t have many high-end properties in the United States. In fact, they have just four Category 7 properties in the US and four more in Category 6. Out of those eight hotels, three are in the Minneapolis metro area, two are in New York, and one is in Canada (where you can’t use your annual certificates) — meaning that the geographic distribution of the top two tiers is limited to four cities/metro areas: New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Anaheim.”

I currently have the US Bank Club Carlson Personal Visa Signature Credit Card and US Bank Club Carlson Business Visa Signature Credit Card, so I am used to getting 40,000 bonus Club Carlson points every year when I pay the annual fee.  Currently, I spend $0 on the credit cards, because the free award night you get after spending $10,000 during the year is only valid at US hotels, and that is not exciting to me.  Therefore, I am trying to start a movement here to get US Bank / Radisson Rewards to make the free award nights valid worldwide.  I am sure I am not the only one frustrated by this US only free award night restriction.  If you are frustrated like me, please like or retweet this tweet so we can show US Bank / Radisson Rewards what members “really want.”

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Thank you for your support and have a great day everyone!

well hold on now. we should also talk about how to MS 30k without shut down from USB. there is opp cost as well if u do GC resell or whatever other method. not sure if getting 3 nights for 30k is worth the trouble of missing other points. this is also a problem with HH spend certs on amex.

I don’t think US Bank cares about MS in Club Carlson / Radisson Rewards Credit Cards, they only care about MS on Altitude Reserve Credit Card. This card earns 5x everywhere, so if you spent $30,000, you would have 150,000 points and 3 free nights (United States locations only).
