Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas Palm Springs Timeshare Vacation Package ($389 for 5 Days / 4 Nights + Freebies)

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday.  If you are stuck in the cold, you might be thinking about taking a vacation to a warm, sunny destination.  Maybe Palm Springs crossed your mind with their warm, year-round climate.  Not to mention, this is the second weekend of Coachella, which is a short drive away.  I just received a timeshare vacation package offer in the mail for the beautiful Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas in Palm Springs.  They have several beautiful photos of the resort, but here are just 2 that stood out to me.  The timeshare vacation package includes 5 days / 4 nights in a 1 bedroom villa, 2 tickets on the Palm Springs aerial tramway, and a $100 gift card to Pacifica Restaurant, a nearby restaurant serving steak and local dishes.  The cost of the timeshare vacation package?  Just $389, but if you don’t know when you want to go, a $200 down payment is all that is required.  The timeshare vacation package is addressed to me and includes a unique preferred invitation number, but if you want to participate in this offer, you can try calling or emailing the contact info on the letter.

Here is a summary of what the $389 timeshare vacation offer includes.  You must purchase the timeshare vacation package by April 26 (next Thursday) and stay by December 15.  Since Palm Springs is in the dessert, the summers are unbelievably hot, so sometime soon or in the fall would be an ideal time to visit.  Daytime highs right now are in the upper 80s.

I plan on booking this timeshare vacation package next week, so I blacked out my preferred invitation number, but you can try calling or emailing to see if they will offer the timeshare vacation package to you.  I do not have a timeshare with Westin or Vistana (SPG’s timeshare company), but I did have an American Express SPG Business Credit Card (recently closed earlier this week) and an SPG account, so I think most people would qualify for this offer if they targeted individuals like myself.

Here are all the details regarding everything included in the timeshare vacation package.  It does not say that attending a timeshare presentation is required, but the last time I did one of these timeshare vacation packages, they will invite you to attend a timeshare presentation by bribing you with more free gifts or SPG points.  Please read about my 2 timeshare presentations in Hawaii.

I apologize in advance if this offer is not eligible to others, but I thought it was a good timeshare vacation package offer that people may want to book.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  Have a great weekend everyone!

I chose the down payment option the last time this promotion was going on because I didn’t have firm travel dates. 4 months later they called me back and offered another promotional rate that only required an additional $29 for a total of $229 to book that day.

Interesting, I will definitely do the $200 down payment, but I’d want to book a weekend sooner rather than later since I don’t want all the good weekends to be full. Where did you stay during your last timeshare vacation package?

Got the invite as well. Most likely will take them up on the offer. Nice weekend for $389, can’t really go wrong with that.

Agreed, seems like a pretty good deal and I’m sure the timeshare presentation will be fine. Maybe I’ll even see you there :)

So we got the offer and took them up on it, we did the deposit. Anyways, we are looking into booking soon, what can we expect? Do we really need to sit through the presentation?

Make sure you pick a good time to go to Palm Springs (avoid the super hot summer months). Yes, you will need to sit through a 90-100 minute presentation. They gave us AMEX gift cards as oru welcome gift and as a gift to attend the sales presentation (instead of dinner vouchers and tram tickets).

Grant, i am looking to book this as I just received one in the mail, book by 3/31. How was the presentation? Pushy…? These sort of deals are amazing, but sometimes having to sit through one of those presentations makes it not even worth it. It gives my wife the heebie jeebies.

I know it depends on the sales person you get, time of day, etc. But was there unneeded or unwarranted pressure on you during the presentation?

    Many thanks.

No more pressure than any other timeshare presentation I’ve been on. I just go in with the mentality of being friendly and going along with the sales pitch until they start talking numbers then I tell them we are planning a wedding and can’t afford the timeshare. A couple more No’s later and we are out of there. The property is decent, nice pools but we went in December when the weather wasn’t great.
