Unboxing my Chase Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card: Card Art, Brochure & Welcome Letter

Good afternoon everyone.  A few days ago, I wrote about how I knew I was approved for a new Chase credit card before getting an email or letter in the mail.  Fast forward to now, my new Chase Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card arrived in the mail.  The credit card design doesn’t look like the card that I approved for, so I will share my theory below.  I also got the welcome letter that I will share below.  The front and back of the new credit card is metal, and looks very similar to the personal Chase Marriott Rewards Credit Card, but is not quite as thick as the JPMorgan Chase Ritz Carlton Credit Card.

As I mentioned earlier, here is what I thought my new Chase Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card would look like.  I thought the card was going to be a bronze color and have “Business” written across the front of the card.

I also found this image on Google that shows what the personal Chase Marriott Rewards Credit Card looks like and what the Chase Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card should look like.  My theory is that Chase ran out of the bronze color cards and just used leftover personal Chase Marriott Rewards Credit Cards.  They did print my name and the business name on the front of the card and instead of “Signature” under the VISA logo, they printed “Business Signature”.  Other than those 2 differences, the personal Chase Marriott Rewards Credit Card looks the same as my Chase Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card.  Maybe Chase ordered new cards for the newly announced Marriott / SPG business credit cards, I don’t know.

Anyway, here is the first 2 pages of the welcome letter that came with my Chase Marriott Rewards Business Credit Card.  The card earning details are the same as what was listed online.  On the back of the letter, Chase has a gentle reminder that this credit card should only be used for business transactions – not personal transactions.

I also received a letter regarding my credit limit, bill due date, APR, fees, etc.  Nothing surprising here, but it was nice to have all this info in one place.

Here is the 20 page credit card guide / brochure:

Since I am not in any hurry to earn Marriott Rewards points, I have 3 months to spend $3,000 to get the 75,000 point sign up bonus.  If you have any questions about this credit card, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!

    Please let me know too.
If the 15 nights posts this year, then I will make the 50 night qualification…
Otherwise, I will be short 12 nights.

Is it worth keeping this card? I cancelled it just before the announcement was made on the changes to the this card and the overall Marriott/SPG program.

I think it ultimately comes down to whether or not you can redeem the Marriott free night certificate for more than the $99 annual fee. If yes, then I would plan on keeping the card. If not, you can close this card.
