GiftCards.com Portal Reversals on Yazing

Updated July 31 at 2pm:  Adam, the founder of Yazing, just left the following comment:

The GC team has gotten back to us and confirmed that the vast majority of the reversals were made in error. They are working to correct those now. Please watch your Yazing.com dashboard and transaction emails over the next few days and if there are any valid orders that haven’t been resolved by the end of the week, please submit a support ticket with the transaction information and order confirmation emails and we will work with GC to get answers and hopefully resolve any outstanding issues in short order.

If you are in the game of buying gift cards and using portals, you may have woken up this morning to an email you didn’t want to read. Mine read, “You had a return/credit on Yazing”. Upon further inspection, it showed all my orders from July 14 to yesterday had been reversed. This was strange because those orders were previously recognized by Yazing and I had received emails the orders had posted from GiftCards.com to the Yazing system.

What’s Going On?

Here’s what we know so far. I reached out to Adam, the founder at Yazing. Adam wrote back within an hour and said a lot of reversals came through yesterday and were posted this morning. He said that typically once a month, they post reversals as they go through and validate transactions. There are times when the commissions post as commissionable but are never actually fulfilled and these are caught in the monthly validation process.

This appears to be the scenario that happened to me. That is odd because past months transactions have posted and paid out just fine. Adam continued and explained the reversal reasons are not always accurate but these all posted as “returned merchandise”. Adam pointed out the commission structure with GiftCards.com has not changed.

Yazing asked their contact at GiftCards.com for an answer and hopefully we all learn more soon. I really hope GiftCards.com lives up to the slogan, because right now, they’re not making me smile.

In the comments section, I would like to know if anyone has had transactions that were not reversed from the last 2 weeks. Or, if you have had transactions reversed that are older than 2 weeks.

I actually do have transactions since July 14 that were not reversed. Not sure why I seem to be the only person not affected. I buy $5,000 of MGC every two days.

          Jed,
Is it store specific which walmart register lets you swipe mastercard. Visas work fine but mc don’t work. I have tried only one card and also last card on the purchase. Do you do something else?

          Jed,
My walmart rejects mastercard for purchasing MO whichever I try. One card for whole transaction or last card on the transaction. I did select change payment -> debit option. Do you do something different? Appreciate your response.

I have purchases from 7/26 and 7/27 that have not been reversed as far as I can tell. The status is ‘pending’. I purchase $5k every 2 days also on two accounts.
