Hyatt’s Fall Promo: Hit the Snooze Button!

Being the Hyatt fan girl here at TWG I take my responsibility of keeping readers up to date on all things Hyatt pretty seriously. But this fall promo……… let’s just say I’m pretty seriously disappointed. Let me lay out Hyatt’s fall promotion and then I’ll tell you why it’s a snoozer.

Promo Offer

The promo time frame is between September 1, 2018 and November 30, 2018. It’s a tiered promotion so the more nights you stay, the more points you’ll earn.  Hyatt offers bonus points for every 5-10 nights you stay at a Hyatt property. Stay five nights, get 2,500 points. After another five nights, get another 5,000 points for a combined total of 7,500. After that you earn between 10,000-25,000 Hyatt points for every 10 nights you stay during those 3 months. Staying 40 nights before the promo ends earns 60,000 bonus points.

Tiers for Hyatt Fall Promo 2018

Promo Specifics

At least this promotion is not brand-specific, so that’s good news. This promotion applies to all Hyatt brands around the world and includes MGM hotels in Las Vegas. The nights must be eligible rates which include Points+Cash and Free Night Awards. Registration is necessary and you can register here. Whether or not you have any plans to participate in this promo, it’s always good to register anyway. You just never know! You do have until October 15th to register.

Don’t Forget to Stack this With Hyatt’s 10% Rebate Promotion

Have you registered for this promotion to get a 10% rebate on Hyatt points? You must have a Hyatt credit card and hotel stays must be before September 30, 2018. This is a great double dip during September.

Bottom Line

I know, I know, some bonus points are better than no bonus points, but this promo just doesn’t get me excited. I don’t actually have any Hyatt stays planned during these months and I wouldn’t switch any of the hotel stays I do have planned just for this bonus. During this promo, 40 nights for potentially two free nights at a top tier Hyatt hotel is just about half your nights in the next three months.

Even for me, who Grant says I’m either busy planning a Hyatt hotel stay or off drinking espresso somewhere fun, 40 nights in three months is a bit much, don’t ya think? Hyatt has had a great year expanding its footprint and offering new credit card opportunities, but this promo, whether you travel for business or leisure, just feels like a snoozer to me.

Will you be doing anything differently with your fall hotel stays because of this offer?

    Indeed, the snooze button LOL!

But if they repeat their last fall promo whereby you get to keep your Globalist status after 20 nights, I’ll partake.
