Alaska Airlines 2 for 1 Flight Vouchers @ San Francisco Giants Game on September 15

Good morning everyone, happy first day of September and the start to a nice, relaxing Labor Day Weekend.  2 weeks from now, the San Francisco Giants have their annual Alaska Airlines 2 for 1 flight voucher game (previously it was a Virgin America 2 for 1 flight voucher game) on September 15.  The flight vouchers have a unique code and will be given out to the first 40,000 fans.  Based on attendance at a recent game, there should be plenty of flight vouchers to go around.  I wrote about this promo last year, but it seems like the terms of the offer have gotten much more restrictive this year.  Even if you cannot make the game or do not live near San Francisco, I am 100% sure people will sell the offer codes on eBay starting around 6pm PT on September 15.

Before you get too excited about this deal, please read the complete terms & conditions of this offer.  You only have 3 days from the date the vouchers are active to book your flights; there are blackout dates around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years; you must travel before mid February; you can only travel Monday-Thursday; and you must fly to/from a Bay Area airport.  If those restrictions don’t make it nearly impossible to use, I don’t know what does.  Here are the complete terms & conditions of the offer:

I have used this coupon every year for the last 5 years but it was for Virgin America before Alaska bought them. We are so happy that they are still offering them. We have our yearly family vacation to Puerto Vallarta or Hawaii with 1/2 off airfare! It’s just something we plan for so always worth it for us.

    Thanks for the helpful tips.

Does anyone out there have a voucher they don’t plan to use? If so, I’d love to make use of it!

If I buy a round trip ticket and going to the destination isn’t during a blackout date but coming back is, do you know if that would work?

I’m really not sure. You might pay a higher price for that return flight. You could also book the 2-for-1 as a 1 way, then book the return separately.
