Westin Desert Willow Villas Palm Desert Vacation Package ($389 for 5 Days / 4 Nights + $75 AMEX GC)

Good afternoon everyone – happy Friday!  I must be the king of getting timeshare vacation package offers, since I just got another offer.  The Westin Desert Villas in Palm Desert, CA has a timeshare vacation package for $389 that includes 5 days / 4 nights in a one bedroom villa plus a $75 American Express Gift Card.  This offer is supposed to be only for recipients of the invitation letter, but you can try calling 800-326-2481 or emailing westinexclusive@westinvacations.com to see if you are eligible.  Just tell them your friend got this offer and you are interested in the offer too.  Here are some photos from the property:

Here are more details regarding the timeshare vacation package offer.  If you choose not to pay the full $389 at one time, you can put down a $200 deposit between now and October 23.  Then pay the remaining $189 when you secure your reservation/dates.  You must complete your stay by November 30, 2019 (almost 14 months from now).

Lastly, here is the brochure / handout that was included with the invitation.

I am going to pass on this offer since I already booked the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas Palm Springs Timeshare Vacation Package for this winter.  According to Google Maps, these resorts are 12-15 minutes away from each other, so I do not need to book another trip to Palm Springs / Palm Desert.  If you are interested in the offer, try calling the phone number or emailing them to see if you are eligible.  As of today, I do not have any SPG credit cards, but I have a Marriott Rewards personal and business credit card with Chase.  I’m not sure if that makes a difference, but maybe it does.  If you have any questions about this timeshare vacation package offer, please leave a comment below.  Have a great Columbus Day Weekend everyone!

I got this offer in the mail just couple of days ago, is it a good deal? I am more interested in Hawaii, Los Cabos, or other exotic location. Can I call to change the location?

If staying using the deal, do they honor my Marriott Platinum Premier status by providing benefits/points/stay credit?

And, finally, do you have to attend a 2-hour boring timeshare sales pitch?

    Thank you!

If you’re not excited to go to Palm Desert, I would hold off on a better offer.

If you are a Marriott elite member, you do not get any special perks at a timeshare vacation package property.

I think the timeshare presentation is optional, but they might offer you more freebies to attend the presentation.

do you know if you get status benefits (i.e. plt premiere, breakfast, etc) and if the nights count towards status? I got this same offer…couldn’t find out if they count..

I did this offer a few years ago and it was awesome! The great thing is that there is no requirement to attend a timeshare sales presentation or tour. When you go to pick up your $75 gift card, they will try to entice you to attend a presentation for an even bigger gift card. But there is no obligation to do so. Really enjoyed this resort and what a great deal.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think that is what happened when I did a Westin/Sheraton/Vistana timeshare vacation package in Hawaii. Glad you enjoyed the resort. What time of year did you go?

    Got a similar offer for $299 5 days/4 nights and there’s a choice between 15000 SPG/Marriott points or the $75 gift card.

Just got a similar offer $269 5 days/4 nights in Cancun. Will absolutely be accepting this. I ignored previous emails thinking there was a catch. 2 hour presentation, is that really it?

Depending on the details of the offer, a timeshare presentation may or may not be required. I’ve never done a timeshare presentation in Mexico, but I heard that they can long, frustrating and intimidating.

Received one for Orlando for $269 5 days/4 nights and a $100 gift cert for dining. I’m wondering if it would be possible to call for the Palm Desert deal, and if eligible book that deal and then book the Orlando one too. Under the Eligibility section of the letters, it says “previous participants in a Sheraton Vacations or Westin Vacations getaway within the past year, …are not eligible.” So I’m wondering if this has or can be done. Thoughts?

I’m not sure if that would work, I would probably just do the one you want to do the most. There are lots of timeshare offers for Orlando, so you might be offered one from another timeshare group.
