Good afternoon everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Yesterday, Frequent Miler wrote about the new Shop with Dell benefit for American Express Business Platinum Charge Card holders. I wanted to add onto that idea with my experience buying from Dell and stacking 2 deals: the $100 Shop with Dell benefit and a Dell AMEX Offer. To get started, sign into your American Express account and go to Benefits on your American Express Business Platinum Charge Card. Then click the Get Started button.
Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions and then click the Enroll button.
A few minutes later, you should receive an email from American Express confirming your enrollment in the Shop with Dell benefit. You can get up to a $100 statement credit for the first 6 months of the year and another $100 statement credit for the last 6 months of the year.
If you are lucky, you will also have a Dell AMEX Offer that will get you 10% cash back on the first $1,500 spent (max $150 cash back). This offer ends on June 30, which coincides with the first 6 months of the Shop with Dell benefit, so I imagine there will be a similar Dell AMEX Offer available from July to December.
I already have a Dell laptop (Inspiron 13 7000 Series) and a desktop computer, so I do not need any more Dell PCs. I decided to check out the Electronics & Accessories section and see if there was anything in there that I needed. Click here to view all Shop for Home categories. Don’t forget to go through your favorite online shopping portal to earn some extra cash back.
I found a 3 pack of Nest Temperature Sensors that I can use at home. The price was $99 before tax and $107.42 after tax. With the Dell AMEX Offer, I should get 10% cash back ($10.74) along with $100 statement credit for using the Shop with Dell benefit, for a total haul of $110.74 statement credit.
My card was not immediately charged, but I did receive a call from Dell customer service asking me to confirm the billing and shipping information for my order. After the call, my card was charged and I received this email alert from American Express.
I also received another email from American Express stating that I had triggered the Dell AMEX Offer.
I am glad that I was able to find something I could actually use on the Dell website. I will make sure to use the other $100 Shop with Dell benefit credit in July. If you have any questions about stacking these deals, please leave a comment below. Have a great weekend everyone!
Grant, seems the dell outlet is not qualified for the amex offer, but the $100 credit will be or may be posted?
I would be cautious of Dell Outlet and Dell for Business for these 2 promos. If possible, make a small purchase on those sites and see how it codes.
Isnt the annual fee $595 a year? Does this card have great benefits? I wonder if the wework office space is good for only 1 year.
If your annual fee is billed before the $595 annual fee kicks in, you only pay $450 for this year. I am planning on purchasing a WeWork membership when that becomes available.
Also, you can go to a portal and get more points. I went to American Airlines shopping portal and I got 2 points per $1 spent. https://www.aadvantageeshopping.com to get even more value out of it.
Yes, that is true. I used Ebates for my Dell purchase. Lots of online shopping portals to choose from.
