Ebates Credit Card Rebranded to Rakuten Cash Back Visa Credit Card

Good afternoon everyone.  I just got an email from Ebates / Rakuten regarding the Ebates Cash Back Visa Credit Card.  Starting in early July, the Ebates Cash Back Visa Credit Card is going to be rebranded to the Rakuten Cash Back Visa Credit Card.  The email also shows the first look at the new credit card.  I like the pretty colors on the credit card that match the new Rakuten logo.

Here are some FAQs regarding the rebranded credit card.  Luckily, it looks like your credit card number will not change and your Synchrony login will not change.  If you have your Ebates Cash Back Visa Credit Card linked to your American Express Ebates account, you should continue to earn 3% / 3x with that credit card.

If you have any questions about the change, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!

I am so sick of when these companies change their names and the credit card.
My credit score takes a hit when they show the ebates card gets closed and a new one opened…
when they transfer the balance to the new card it looks like I have no self control with a new credit card.

That’s not the case. The card is still issued by Synchrony, so your credit score will be impacted. I have this credit card and am not worried about the card name change.
