Stop Spam & Robo Calls with RoboKiller App (Listen to my 2 Funny Voicemail Recordings)

Full Disclosure: This post has nothing to do with travel and I have no referral / affiliate relationship with RoboKiller.  Please enjoy the 2 funny voicemail recordings.

Good afternoon everyone.  A few weeks ago, I read about RoboKiller in a magazine and decided to check it out.  RoboKiller is an app that runs on your smartphone that will block spam / robo calls and texts.  One of my favorite features of RoboKiller is the ability to use one of the Answer Bots (basically a recording that pretends to be a real person answering the phone).  When RoboKiller detects a spam or robo call, it will answer the call and play the selected Answer Bot.  The app records the caller and the Answer Bot and allows you to listen to the call afterward.  There are 50-100 different Answer Bots to choose from, but my choice is a 5-6 year old girl who answers the phone.  You can listen to the 2 recordings below to get an idea of how it works.

First call is 1 minute and 27 seconds:

The second call is 4 minutes and 34 seconds:

During both calls, the caller had no idea that they were speaking to a prerecorded message, which makes it even funnier in my opinion.  RoboKiller offers a 7 day free trial and 3 subscriptions:

  • RoboKiller Basic Membership: $3.99 / month
  • RoboKiller Premium Membership: $5.99 / month
  • RoboKiller Yearly Membership: $29.99 / year ($2.50 / month)

Seems like the guy on the second call was enjoying his convo with a little child, pretty sure Chris Wallace will have him sitting in a living room pretty soon.

Neat! What is the difference between the basic and premium subscription? Can’t seem to find any information on their website or I’m just not seeing it.

Question… I set up my answer bots to use “Ice T” for example, but when I get a call and listen to the recording it has what sounds like a default bot (female) that tells them they are being blocked. How do I set it to where I can just use the bot that I select and not the default?

Hi Justin, I have the same problem. Sometimes the app using the default voice and sometimes it uses the recording I selected. I think it is a bug in the system, so I’m not sure how to fix the issue.
