Chase Credit Card Cardholders Now Earn 10% Back in Groupon Bucks ($50 Monthly Limit)

Good morning everyone, I just received an email from Chase about their new partnership with Groupon.  If you are a Chase credit card holder, you can now earn 10% back in Groupon Bucks for your Groupon purchases, up to a $50 monthly limit.  All you need to do is opt into the partnership and use your Chase credit card to earn the 10% Groupon Bucks.  Groupon Bucks are similar to eBay Bucks in that you earn them on Groupon purchases and you can redeem them for future Groupon purchases (more details below).

Here are the complete terms and conditions of the partnership:

*To be eligible for this offer, you must enroll by 02/28/2021 at 11:59 p.m. E.T., in a Groupon 10% back offer, rewarded as Groupon Bucks, up to $50 each month for a year. For the next 12 months, Groupon will deposit Groupon Bucks into your Groupon account within 15 days of each calendar month end on purchases made with your Chase credit card. Groupon Bucks expire 30 days after awarded, if unused. No Groupon Bucks will be awarded in connection with this offer after 02/28/2022. You may only enroll in this offer one time before 02/28/2021. Promotional offer is non-transferable and applies only to the account ending in the last 4 digits referenced in this offer. See gr.pn/bucks for full Terms and Conditions.

Once you are opted into the partnership, you can go to your account page and view your accrued Groupon Bucks.

As of today, my Groupon account shows that I have $49 in Groupon Bucks (probably leftover from a Groupon gift card I loaded to my Groupon account).

Here are more details on the earning and redeeming of Groupon Bucks.  Your newly earned Groupon Bucks will show in your Groupon balance within 15 days of the end of each calendar month and you will have 30 days to redeem your Groupon Bucks before the expire.

Don’t forget that you can also go through an online shopping portal to earn additional cash back / points on your Groupon purchases.  If you have any questions about this Chase and Groupon partnership, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!

Very interesting. Thanks for including the link, as I didn’t get an email for any of my (nearly a dozen) Chase CCs. I was able to successfully opt in. I normally pay for Groupons via either GCs or Altitude Reserve (Apple Pay), but this new option may make me consider using Chase. It’s tricky, though, as it would require turning around and using the Groupon Bucks within a month. That either creates a vicious cycle, or it expires, and then I’ve earned/saved less than using another payment method.

I don’t purchase from Groupon on a regular basis, so I’m not sure how useful this partnership will be for me, but maybe you can split your purchases between earning Groupon Bucks with your Chase CC and using US Bank Altitude Reserve CC.
