Barclays Business Credit Cards Now Visible on App & Website (Along with Bugs and Earner Grow Card)

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  2 weeks ago, I wrote Barclays Wyndham Rewards Credit Cards: Business Earner CC Online Portal & Personal Earner Plus Upgrade Offer.  In that post, I said that beginning on August 15 (yesterday), Barclays business credit cards would now show up in the Barclays App and on BarclaysUS.com, along with all of your other Barclays credit cards.  I kind of forgot the launch date but discovered the change when I signed into the Barclays app this afternoon.  At the top of the screen was my Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card along with an Activate Now button (my card was activated in 2020 when I received the card).  Maybe Barclays needed me to activate the card in the app in order for it to work properly.  I’m not sure.  I clicked the Activate Now button and then had to verify my identity by entering the last 4 digits of my social security number and the 3 digit security code.  I then clicked the Activate button on the bottom of the screen.

I was then brought to the Activated Cards screen, but my card was showing “not activated.”  I clicked the Activate Now button at the bottom of the screen and was then sent to the verify your identity screen again.  This loop continued for a few times until I gave up.  Bug #1.

The layout of the Barclays app is really nice and shows the current balance, the current number of points I will earn this statement cycle, and recent activity.  As a reminder, the Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card earns 5x on utility payments, including my Arcadia bill payment ($143.11 x 5 = 715 points).

I was browsing around the Barclays app and there was a Manage my Wallet screen to add the Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card to my ApplePay wallet.  I went through the steps but got an error message in the ApplePay wallet saying that “your issuer does not yet offer support for this card.”  Bug #2.

I then switched to my computer and signed into my Barclays account.  The homepage looks clean and organized (a big improvement over the old homepage).  You cannot see old credit card statements, but you can view old transactions by clicking the View All Transactions link.

Here is my Arcadia utility payment showing the correct merchant category, so I will earn 5x on this charge.

I went to the Services tab and looked at the Activated Cards section.  There was no activation date shown for my card.  I already changed the nickname for my card to “Wyndham Rewards Earned Biz” and I enrolled in paperless statements.

I went through the activation process online for my Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card…

I even got a Congratulations message at the top of my account…

But there was still no activation date shown in the Services section.  Bug #3.

Another bug I found in the Barclays app is that my old no annual fee Barclays Wyndham Rewards Visa shows up as “Wyndham Earner Grow Card”, which I have never heard of.  This is probably what my old no annual fee Barclays Wyndham Rewards Visa will be converted into over the next few months.

However, when I look at the old no annual fee Barclays Wyndham Rewards Visa online, I do not see any mention of the Wyndham Earner Grow Card.  Bug #4.

I’m hoping Barclays can fix these website and app issues.  I would love to add the Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card to my ApplePay wallet too.  If you have any questions about Barclays business credit cards showing up in the app or website, please leave a comment below.  Have a great day everyone!

As of today, I am still not able to add my Barclays Wyndham Earner Business to my Apple wallet. Were you able to make any progress on this topic?

Hi Jeff, thanks for the heads up. I just tried to add my Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card to my wallet and I get the error message: “Your Issuer Does Not Yet Offer Support for This Card.” Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a way around this issue, we just need to wait for Barclays to fix it from their side.
