Good afternoon everyone, and I hope your new year is off to a great start! With 2025 officially in the books, it’s time to look back at the blog posts you found most helpful, interesting, and worth clicking on throughout the year. Below you’ll find the 10 most popular posts written in 2025, along with the 10 most popular posts written in previous years that continued to draw strong traffic.  If you’re curious, you can also check out the most popular posts from 20162017201820192020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

2025’s Most Popular Blog Posts (Written During 2025)

  • No Upcoming Hilton Stay? Turn Your Credit Into a $50 Snack Shopping Spree (10/8/25) – I explain how to use your Hilton Credit even if I don’t have an upcoming hotel stay planned. Instead of letting the credit go to waste, I show how I used it for a $50 snack and convenience shopping spree.  I did this at the end of Q3, at the end of Q4, and will probably do this again sometime in Q1 2026.
  • Should I Transfer All My Amex Points to Hawaiian Airlines? (5/19/25) – I analyzed whether it made sense to transfer all of my American Express Membership Rewards points to Hawaiian Airlines. I weighed the pros, cons, and risks before making what could be a one-way, irreversible decision.  This post is no longer relevant since Hawaiian Airlines is no longer an AMEX transfer partner.

  • The 7 Miles & Points Tools and Services That I Pay For (1/17/25) – I shared the 7 miles and points tools and services I personally pay for and why they’re worth the cost to me. Each one saves time, improves redemptions, or helps me stay organized.  Now that I have a 4 month old, I haven’t been travelling as much and haven’t been using these tools as much, but I look forward to when I can start using them again soon.

2025’s Most Popular Blog Posts (Written Before 2025)

  • Attention Coinstar Users: Not All Kiosks Offer Amazon eGift Cards (1/19/24) – I used a Coinstar kiosk to convert a bag of change into an eGC, only to find that Amazon was missing as a redemption option. After researching, I discovered that not all kiosks offer Amazon eGCs, with availability varying by location and grocery store chain.  I wish all Coinstar kiosks had the same redemption offers so this issue would be avoided.
  • How to Use Home Depot Store Credit for Online Purchases (8/30/21) – I ran into issues using my Home Depot store credit for an online purchase, as it can only be redeemed in-store according to their policy. After some persistence and a visit to my local Home Depot, I was able to use the credit by placing an in-store order for online items and picking up the order after it arrived at the store.
  • How to Add a PIN to a Visa or MasterCard Gift Card (7/23/13) – This is one of my oldest posts from 2013 and still receives tons of pageviews every year. I demonstrated how to add a PIN to a $200 Visa GC and a $200 MasterCard GC, both of which involve simple steps on their respective websites or by calling a toll-free number.
  • Costco In-Store: 10% Off Alaska Airlines Gift Cards ($500 GC for $449.99) (YMMV) (11/17/24) – Costco sells $500 Alaska Airlines GCs for $449.99 (10% discount).  While this deal is available at select Costco locations, you can check availability at your local store using the Costco app with item number 1888636.  I was at Costco recently and saw that these Alaska Airlines GCs were still available for purchase.

And there you have it, my 10 most popular blog posts written in 2025, plus the most popular posts from earlier years that continue to resonate with readers. It’s always interesting to see which topics stand the test of time and which new posts rise to the top. Were any of these your favorites blog posts from 2025, or did one surprise you? Thanks for reading and have a great weekend everyone!
