6 Wyndham Timeshare Vacation Packages Under $200 (3 Days / 2 Nights)

Good afternoon everyone.  I have a short post about Wyndham Timeshare Vacation Packages.  Right now, there are 6 different vacation packages available under $200.  Each timeshare vacation package is 3 days / 2 nights.  According to the terms, you must attend a 120 minute timeshare presentation (and if you are married, your spouse must attend as well).  I have done a few timeshare vacation packages in the past and have a Westin Mission Hills Resort in Palm Springs and Hyatt Carmel Highlands timeshare package booked for the near future.  Timeshare presentations are not terrible and the great vacation packages will save you hundreds of dollars.

My Barclays Credit Card Targeted / Spending Offers for May 2018 [Letters Now Attached]

Updated 10:20am PT on 5/15: I received letters from Barclays with the complete terms for all 3 targeted spending offers.

Good morning everyone, happy Friday.  A few days ago, I called Barclays to request a downgrade from my Barclays Arrival Plus Credit Card to the no annual fee Barclays Arrival Credit Card.  After the downgrade was completed, I asked the rep (I believe he was a customer relationship manager, or some similar title) if there were any targeted / spending offers available.  To my surprise, there was an offer.  To say I don’t put much spend on my Barclays credit cards would be an understatement – all 4 of my credit cards have $0 balances and haven’t had charges on them for a few months.

The rep said that my new Barclays Arrival Credit Card had the following offer: earn a $50 statement credit after spending $1,000 each month for the next 3 months.  Since that was the only offer available, I accepted the offer, even though I have no intention on spending $3,000+ over 3 months to get a $50 statement credit ($50 / $3,000 = 1.67% bonus).  I then asked if he could check my 3 other Barclays credit cards and see if there were any offers available.  Who knows, if you don’t ask, they will never proactively tell you about your offers.

Westin Rancho Mirage Timeshare Deal Upgrade & Wyndham Timeshare Deals for $149-$199

Good morning everyone, happy Friday!  A few days ago, I wrote Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas Palm Springs Timeshare Vacation Package ($389 for 5 Days / 4 Nights + Freebies).  In the comments section of that post, reader PJ mentioned that if you pay the $200 down payment, and wait a few weeks or months to lock down your vacation package dates, you may get a discounted offer.  PJ said that he received an offer for $29 to confirm his travel package dates.  A few days after paying the $200 down payment, I received this email from Westin Vacations.  For only $99, I can lock down my vacation package dates between June 1 and September 30.  Let me remind you, that this property is in Palm Springs, and it will easily be 100+ degrees during those days.  I decided to pass on this deal since I wanted to go in the fall when it would be less than 100 degrees.  If you were offered this option, would you stay during those scorching summer months?

I’m in a Miles & Points Funk Part 1: Hotels

Good morning everyone, I apologize for my lack of blog posts recently, but I’ve found myself in somewhat of a miles and points funk. Usually, I’m in an upbeat, positive mood, but lately, I’ve found it hard to get excited about the miles and points game. It seems that everything that I once loved has changed for the worse (that might be a tad dramatic). Let me share what’s on my mind so you can see where I’m coming from. Let’s start with hotels first.

I recently spent 100,000 Radisson Rewards points for 2 nights at the Radisson Blu Crete, and I’m not impressed by the new Radisson Rewards program. Since the free night certificates for spending $10,000 (and $20,000 and $30,000) on the US Bank Club Carlson credit cards are only valid at hotels in the US, it’s not worth spending money on those credit cards. I tried to rally my fellow readers and travel blogger friends by sharing my dissa-point-ment with US Bank and Radisson Rewards on Twitter, but I got no response from either company. I plan on keeping both of my Club Carlson credit cards just for the 40,000 points on my cardmember anniversary.
