Transfer Chase Ultimate Reward Points from the Chase App

Chase recently updated their smartphone app for iOS and Android with the ability to transfer Chase Ultimate Reward Points to their travel partners.  I will show you how I recently transferred Chase Ultimate Reward Points to Southwest Airlines on my iPhone.  The process should work the same on an Android phone.  You can follow these steps to transfer Chase Ultimate Reward Points to any of their travel partners.  Without further ado, download the Chase app to your smartphone and log into your Chase account.

Navigate to the Chase account that has Chase Ultimate Reward Points – either a Chase Sapphire Preferred (personal account) or a Chase Ink Bold/Plus (business account).

I currently have 2 Chase Ink Cards – a Chase Ink Bold (top) and a Chase Ink Plus (bottom).  Click on the Ultimate Rewards link to view your Chase Ultimate Reward Points balance for each card.

Then click the Redeem Now link to start transferring Chase Ultimate Reward Points to a Chase travel partner.

Click the upper left corner of the screen where the 3 horizontal lines appear.

Then click the Transfer to Travel Partners link.

Then scroll down to find the travel partner you want to transfer Chase Ultimate Reward Points to and click the Transfer Points button.

Fill in your first and last name, select your relationship (either self or a spouse), and enter your loyalty account number.

Preview your account information and click Add Rapid Rewards # (your program will say something different).

Enter the number of Chase Ultimate Reward Points you want to transfer (you can only transfer in 1,000 point increments) and select the account you want to transfer points to.

Preview your transfer details.  You cannot reverse any transfer after it is placed.

Congratulations, you just transferred Chase Ultimate Reward Points to a travel partner.  If you log in to your loyalty program, your account balance will be updated to reflect the instant points transfer.

You will also receive a confirmation email with details of your Chase Ultimate Reward Points transfer.

Setting up your saved travel accounts only takes a few minutes.  After that, the process should be even simpler and easier.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.
