My Small Business Saturday Statement Credits Posted and Tickets on Sale for TravelCon in Anaheim, CA (February 28, 2015)
Good morning everyone, if you participated in Small Business Saturday last weekend, your $10 statement credits should have posted to your American Express credit/charge/prepaid cards.
Statement credits for Serve Cards have also posted. I do not have a Bluebird Card, but I assume the statement credits for Bluebird Cards have posted as well.
In other news, I am happy to announce that my friend Omar @ Travel Summary has organized TravelCon, a miles and points conference in Anaheim, CA for Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Tickets are on sale now, with only 125 seats available. If you are interested, I would buy a ticket ASAP before they sell out. There is an early bird price of $119. Here is the current lineup of speakers:
- Greg @ Frequent Miler
- Tahsir (AKA Bengali Miles Guru) @ Travel Codex (formerly Hack My Trip)
- Omar @ Travel Summary
- Fabio @ Passageiro de Primeira (Brazil)
- Matt @ Saverocity
- Jamison @ Points Summary
- More to be announced!
I am not speaking, but I bought my ticket to attend the conference. I hope to see some of you there. I have not booked a hotel since I can drive to the event, but there are many chain hotels within walking distance to the host hotel (Embassy Suites). Have a great day everyone!
SBS credits mostly posted. One $10 charge hasn’t hit yet. I’ll check again in a few days.
Make sure to follow up with AMEX if you are missing any $10 statement credits.
a little personal opinion, it seems like a lot of bloggers are on the path of creating paid conference in the name of the game but I feel it falls on the side of business vs on the game. I mean how many can you attend to learn the same or one or two new techniques or just a social gathering with bloggers celebrities that come with a cost. I know speaking bloggers dont speak for free but a high fee just to meet them is not right path for me. I like social gathering, like what you had, informal, small and fun without the formality.
Thank you for the feedback Choi. I like the small informal OC Meetups too.
where i can buy tickets?
You can buy tickets by clicking on the link to Travel Summary’s post.
Credits to my Bluebird haven’t posted yet. Anyone else with the same problem?
Thanks for the data point Ian. Check back later today and tomorrow morning.
The credits haven’t posted on my fidelity or citibank amex cards yet, but I did get all of my credits on my regular amex credit cards (the ones issued by American Express) as well as on my Serve cards.
Good to hear, thanks Chris. I guess the non AMEX cards take a bit longer.
I reluctantly went ahead and got a ticket to Travelcon. It is rather annoying that this is just one weekend before San Diego FTU. Travel conferences are so infrequent in southern California, then we get two conferences on back-to-back weekends.
They should have asked you to speak! You could give a great talk on maximizing use of the Chime card!!!
Haha. I would definitely join a pander discussion but I think Chime’s best days are behind us.
Thanks I bought it, so excited as I am new in this all things
You will have a great time and hopefully learn a lot.
36 of 39 posted…..I’m going to let the other 3 find their way home on their own…….if not no harm no foul…….
I hope those 3 little piggies make it home from the market :)
