4 Ways to Tell you have a Free Night Certificate at Marriott
I have a Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card and the best perk of the card is the annual free night certificate each year you pay the $85 annual fee. If you stay at Marriott properties frequently, this is a great card to have to accrue Marriott Points.
1 – Card in the mail. Marriott will send you a card that says your free night certificate has been deposited in your Marriott account. This is the front of the card:
This is the inside of the card:
And this is the back of the card:
2 – Cryptic color-less email. Marriott will also send you an email that your free night certificate has been deposited in your Marriott account.
3 – Award Wallet alert. Award Wallet will tell you when your free night certificate has been deposited into your Marriott account.
4 – Looking at your Marriott Account Activity. This might seem obvious, but you can also check your recent account activity in your Marriott account for a message that says Unused Reward Certificates.
Fine Print. The stay certificate is valid at all Marriott properties around the world that are category 1 through 5. The stay certificate must be used within 6 months of being deposited in your Marriott account – no extensions are possible. So you either use it or lose it.
