Barclays Card Trick and New Citi Dividend 3rd Quarter Category Bonuses (Rental Cars, Theme Parks, Hilton Properties, and Movie Theaters)

Greetings from the American Airlines lounge at LAX.  I am about to board my Air Berlin flight to Dusseldorf, Germany, continuing onto Barcelona, Spain.  My Air Berlin flight leaves from Tom Bradley International Terminal, but the American Airlines lounge is in Terminal 4.  So… I have to make this quick to I can go back out to the street then walk over to the international terminal, go through TSA security, no TSA Precheck for Air Berlin :(

A reader of mine sent me an email that there is a way to get 0% APR financing on your Barclays Arrival Plus credit card, but first, here is the standard terms of the offer:

From the Barclays Arrival Plus home page, click the “Interested in our No Annual Fee Card?” link.

From this page, click the link on the bottom titled “Interested in Earning 2x Miles on all your Purchases?” to go back to the previous screen.

If you then click to apply for the Barclays Arrival Plus credit card, the terms change to show 0% APR on purchases for the first 12 months and 0% APR on balance transfers for the first 12 months.

I’m not advocating keeping balance or transferring a balance to the Barclays Arrival Plus, but it is now an option.  I cannot confirm the card you will receive will have those terms, but it could be worth a shot.

In other news, I received an email this morning from Citi introducing the 3rd quarter rotating cash back categories for the Citi Dividend Credit Card.  I don’t have a link to the page (it is a custom link for each cardholder), but if you are a current cardholder, you should have received an email.

As a reminder, there is no quarterly cap on the amount of cash back you can earn per quarter.  There is only a $300 yearly cap (which I maxed out in the first quarter).  I maxed out the first quarter bonus (pharmacies) pretty easily ;)
