2 $10 Amazon eGift Card Winners and $50 Serve Direct Deposit Bonus
Thank you for everyone who participated in the contest. There were many close guesses, but there can only be two winners. The correct answer (including today’s Walmart Kicks) is 39,720 All-Time Kicks. I have earned a huge number of Kicks from referrals (2,000 Kicks for every 3 referrals), so that is 50 / 3 = 16 x 2,000 = 32,000 Kicks from you guys. I could not have done it without your help. The rest of the Kicks come from scanning bar codes and walking into stores.
The two closest guesses come from Arsenal and Tate (never thought I would say that phrase before). Guys, please check your email for your $10 Amazon eGift Card.
The rest of the guesses are here. Better luck next time everyone!
I usually give away a few Amazon eGift Cards every month, thanks to blog readers who shop on Amazon by using my Amazon affiliate link (see upper right corner of this page or at the bottom of this page if you are on a mobile device). Your Amazon purchases are greatly supported on TWG.
A few days ago, I mentioned that I had earned the $50 Serve direct deposit bonus.
This is not a targeted offer, anyone with a Serve account can participate. All you need to do is have two qualifying direct deposits of $250 or more post to your account by July 31.
I used my PayPal account to complete the direct deposits, but it should work from other accounts (like brokerage accounts). All you need to do is log into your Serve account, and click on the Settings link in the upper right corner, then click on Direct Deposit.
Your Serve account has a unique account number. Copy the account and routing numbers. If you plan on using PayPal, go to your PayPal account and log in. If you have a brokerage account (E*Trade, Schwab, Options House, etc.) log into that account.
For PayPal, go to your Profile, click on Bank Account, and click Link New Account. Enter your Serve account and routing numbers and follow the steps. You will need to verify your Serve account before you can make a direct deposit (withdrawal from PayPal to your Serve “bank account”). You will get 2 micro deposits ranging from 1 cent to 99 cents deposited into your Serve account. Copy those numbers and go back to PayPal. Verify those numbers with PayPal and your Serve “bank account” will be verified. Then, make a $250 or more withdrawal from your PayPal account to your Serve account. After a few business days, the funds will show up in your Serve account and you will receive an email from Serve alerting you to the direct deposit. Repeat that step one more time. Shortly after receiving your second direct deposit, you will get a $50 direct deposit bonus.
BIG WARNING
Do not buy a PayPal My Cash Card, load it to your PayPal account and make 2 $250 withdrawals from your PayPal account to your Serve account. That action will most likely get your PayPal account frozen. My advice is to transfer $500 from your real bank account to PayPal, then withdraw the funds to your Serve account.
This worked for me, but your mileage may vary. I have not had a chance to test if brokerage account withdrawals count as direct deposits, but it is worth a shot. It does not cost anything to move money from your bank account to a brokerage to a Serve account, so it might be worth a shot.
This worked for me on July 7, but Serve can change how it codes PayPal withdrawals at anytime without notice. If you are interested in this promotion, I would act fast before they change their policy.
If you have a Bluebird account, I do not know if this $50 direct deposit promo works for you. If anyone has any info, please send let me know. If you are feeling lucky, you can try the steps above. Who knows, you might get a $50 gift from Bluebird in your account.
If you have any other questions, please leave a comment.
Wow I won..!! I used a random email Id. So I request you to send it to someone else who deserve it..
Ok then. First one to reply to this comment gets Tate’s $10 Amazon eGift Card!
Can’t me me 4 hr later, can it?
OK, w/o time zone difference, its only one hour or so. :)
Congrats Joe, the $10 Amazon eGift Card goes to you. Check your email shortly.
Thank you very much. Kind of makes up for my horrible guess from before!
Everyone deserves a second chance every now and then.
Will Serve shut you down if you are only using for bill pay?
No I don’t think so. I only do bill pay and haven’t had any problems.
Do you use a credit card to fund? I thought they may not like it if you use a card to fund and then pay off another card.
Serve doesn’t care. I fund my account with a credit card and do bill pay back to the same credit card.
Also, is the $50 credit only for July?
According to the postcard I received from Serve, the promo ends July 31. You still have time to do 2 direct deposits before then. Follow this guide: http://travelwithgrant.com/2014/07/11/2-10-amazon-egift-card-winners-and-50-serve-direct-deposit-bonus/#more-8751
