In-N-Out OC Meetup Success!

Last night, Travel-Summary and I met up at the In-N-Out at the Tustin District and waited to see who would show up, if anyone.  To our surprise, we had 7 or 8 people show up and our Orange County meetup was underway!

Group In N Out

Amol, from Hack My Trip, also made the drive down from the LA area and spread a wealth of knowledge to the rest of us.  Travel-Summary shared some of his stories about blogging and we all compared credit cards, reloadable cards, airline elite status, and how to churn different credit cards.

I met someone with 4 Chase Ink Credit Cards, someone else who had 6 Bluebird Cards, and shared advanced airline routing codes that would make your head spin.  The meetup started at 6:30pm and most of us stayed until after 10pm.  Even though only a few of us have blogs (at the moment), some of these people have a tremendous amount of travel hacking knowledge that will blow your mind.  It was a great evening and I look forward to seeing you guys again, hopefully in a few months when we get the next OC Meetup planned.

He has a big family (real people). I just created an account for my mom and dad last night, so hopefully the BB cards comes quickly in the mail.

We have two cards (wife + mine) as they refused to issue another 2 for the kids … good enough for now! :) I believe you have to be 18+ to get one a BB card.

I am glad you all had a good productive time …

Thanks for coming Hank, I learned a lot from you about train travel. Maybe one of these days I will take the Amtrak down to San Diego. Hope to see you at the next OC Meetup, whenever that is…

It is amazing at some of these things the people who come out of the woodwork and know so much you think you are a newbie. It happens to me. Well, not after I started blogging because I now just do not have a life period.

After this fantastic shot I expect the next one to have enough ladies to join you guys:-)

The only lady there was the one who took our picture. Amol told me some interesting stories about you. Will you be at the FTU Tampa or Chicago Seminars?

I am certain I am not allowed to be in Chicago during the Seminar:-)
Thought about FTU but just no time. I am juggling two gigs. And this one for the love (and hate) of it all. It’s all good. It’s a severe addiction I can’t kick. Cheers.

Haha. You need a PayPal donate button or a kick starter campaign or we can set you up with a Kiva loan. How much do your body guards cost?
