PSA: Keep Track of your Bluebird or Serve Monthly Reload Limit

Good evening everyone, this is just a friendly reminder to keep track of your Bluebird or Serve monthly reload limit.  You should always know how much you have loaded onto your Bluebird or Serve Card and how much you have left to go.  If you have one card, it is easy to keep track of your reload amount, but it gets exponentially harder as you try to keep track of 2, 3, 4 or more cards.

I created a handy excel spreadsheet that you can download and fill out in my post Keep Track of Bluebird/Serve Transactions.  If you are not sure if you need it, answer this quick question: how much have you loaded onto all of your Bluebird or Serve Cards from May 1 through today?

Don’t guess, you should know.  There is no worse feeling that driving all the way to Walmart, standing in line for the Money Center counter/ATM, and being told that your gift card cannot be loaded onto your Bluebird or Serve Card.  Whenever I hear someone say that they were unable to load a gift card to their Bluebird or Serve Card, I immediately ask people if they have already maxed out on their $5,000 monthly reload limit.  Most will answer, no without thinking, then when they log into their account, they will see $5,000 in reloads magically appear.   Continue reading

Barclays Sign Up Offers: $400 Barclaycard Arrival, 50,000 Lufthansa Miles, 35,000 Hawaiian Airlines Miles, and 40,000 US Airways Miles

Full Disclosure: I don’t personally have any Barclays credit cards.  I have applied for some credit cards in the past but have always been denied due to “too many recent credit inquires” – so it is not by choice (not my choice at least) that I do not have credit cards with Barclays.

It might be hard to believe, but I actually have credit card affiliate links (only from Barclays Bank though).  I hardly ever talk about credit card sign up bonuses, unless I am specifically applying for them during an app-o-rama (see March 2014 App-O-Rama and November 2013 App-O-Rama).

You can view and apply for a Barclays Credit Card on my credit card page.  With that said, here are some of the my favorite Barclays Credit Cards:

Barclaycard Arrival – 40,000 points ($400 Statement Credit) after spending $3,000 in 3 months (no annual fee the first year, then $89 a year after that)

Download link for Bluebird-Serve-Transactions.xlsx

If you are juggling more than 1 Bluebird or Serve Card, it can be difficult to keep track of all your recent loads, bill payments, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, etc.  If you need a little help keeping it all straight, download the Excel file above.

I have it set up for 3 Bluebird/Serve Cards, but you can add or remove columns if you wish.  I enter my Bluebird or Serve user name and password for each card along with the actual card number.
