Why do I love the beginning of the month?
I try to make my life as simple as possible, so I schedule all of my credit cards to have their statements close on the 1st of the month. This makes it easy to know when payments are due and helps me make sure I never miss a payment.

I’m trying to look on the bright side of all the negative AA-related news from this morning. This might cheer some of you guys up. In AA’s daily email deals, was an offer for $483 round trip flights to Hawaii, but that didn’t catch my attention. What did was the sentence at the bottom that mentioned 15,000 AA miles each way to Hawaii for a limited time only.

The title is a blatant rip-off of the Chevy Chase “Vegas Vacation” movie, but I do love a good alliterative title every now and then.
I was helping my dad find flights from Orange County, CA (SNA) to Vancouver, BC (YVR) sometime in July for our annual family vacation. Between myself, my mom, and my dad, we have thousands of United Airline miles, American Airline miles, and British Airways Avios.
By using a combination of AA.com and AlaskaAir.com, I was able to find 4 award seats on the same flight. Since the flights are on Alaska Airlines, I went to AlaskaAir,com first to search for the award seats. You don’t need to have any Alaska Airline miles to search for award seats.
