TGI Friday!  Here are some random travel-related news from today…

I just created a tutorial about how to sign up for a free Lounge Club membership if you have a Chase Ink Bold/Plus Credit Card.  You can read it here.

I got this letter from Chase alerting me that my Chase IHG Rewards Club Visa will soon be replaced by a Chase IHG Rewards Club World MasterCard.  Technically, if you cancel the Visa card, you can sign up and receive the sign up bonus on the MasterCard.  It appears that you have to close your Visa before April 1, otherwise you will automatically be issued the MasterCard and miss out on getting another sign up bonus.

My Chase IHG Rewards Club Visa credit card statement closed a few days ago and I just wanted to share some of my findings with you.  This is in reference to 2 Cash and Points stays.  I am planning a trip to Utah over Memorial Day Weekend and have plans to stay at the Holiday Inn Price, Utah, and Holiday Inn Express Moab, Utah.  Both reservations are 1 night stays on Cash and Points.

This is a public service announcement from me and George at Travel Blogger Buzz.  You are probably aware that there will be a new list of properties eligible for IHG’s PointBreaks promotion coming out on Monday morning.  But were you aware you could get 16 PointBreaks hotel nights for getting the Chase IHG Rewards Club Visa credit card?

During my last app-o-rama in November, I applied for the Chase IHG Rewards Club Visa credit card and got 80,000 IHG Rewards Club Points after spending $1,000 in 3 minutes 3 months.  The sign up bonus posted after the first statement closed and I now have 81,008 IHG Rewards Club Points in my pocket.
