Remembering September 11
12 years ago today, I was in 6th grade.
I remember coming downstairs for breakfast and seeing the news on the TV. I couldn’t believe what I saw.
At school, our teacher turned on the TV and we all watched. I don’t remember for how long, but I don’t remember doing anything else that whole day.
Living in Southern California, far away from the terrible events that happened on the East Coast, made it hard to believe what was going on. I didn’t seem possible.
Every time they show stories about the World Trade Center, I get emotional. Every time.
If you have a few moments, I strongly recommend reading MJ on Travel’s article today. He was working for American Airlines on 9/11/01 at DCA and has a much more detailed post of what happened that morning. (link)
Do you remember where you were on the morning of September 11?
not one blogger show any remembrance except you, a hand out to you. very honorable.
This event will forever be remembered. It still gives me chills to hear about stories from that day.
This post confirmed your age. LOL I admire that, being someone so young, you have more knowledge than most of us twice your age.
Yup I’m a youngster, but I still remember that day very clearly.
Great post Grant! I will nevery forget where I was either, sitting in 8th grade history watching Brian Williams on NBC. It was so Unreal
