Happy March 15 everyone! Forget Pi Day (March 14), today is better. Today is the day when you can activate your Chase Freedom’s 2nd Quarter Category Bonuses. Click this link to activate your card. The process is simple, take out your Chase Freedom Credit Card, type your last name, the last 4 digits on your credit card, and your zip code into the boxes. Press the big green activate button and you are done!
Remember to wait until after March 31 to start using your Chase Freedom Credit Card.
Make sure that the page loads and says that your card is activated.
Here is another page that shows that your Chase Freedom Credit Card is activated.
You can also sign up for email and text alerts to remind you to activate your Chase Freedom Credit Card (or you can just wait for 1,000+ travel bloggers to tell you too).
Just an FYI, here is the 2014 Chase Freedom Calendar:
To take advantage of this offer, I would use my Chase Freedom Credit Card at all restaurants from April 1 to June 30. If you were planning on using your card at Lowe’s, you would be better off buying Lowe’s gift cards for a 9.6% discount by going through Gift Card Granny.
If you still haven’t spent $1,500 at participating merchants by the last week of June, I would go to Lowe’s and buy gift cards for other merchants (maybe Amazon?)

Hey Grant,
So you can buy gift cards at lowe’s with a credit card?
Yes, you should be able to buy gift cards at Lowe’s.
Does anyone know if they carry $500 denomination visa or MasterCard gift cards at Lowe’s?
I’m not sure. I haven’t been to Lowe’s since Christmas.
