Thank you to everyone who showed up tonight.  I hope you learned a few tips and tricks from me, since I certainly learned a few tips and tricks from all of you.  I will try to coordinate another meet up with other local travel bloggers and maybe schedule another meeting in late April or early May.  See you all there :)

Reminder: Travel with Grant Meet Up Saturday Night (March 29) at In-N-Out (Tustin District)

This is just a friendly reminder that EVERYONE MUST SHOW UP TO IN-N-OUT TOMORROW!

  • Time: 6PM (feel free to come anytime after 6)
  • Date: tomorrow night (March 29)
  • Address: In-N-Out Burger, 2895 Park Ave, Tustin, CA 92782 (Google Maps)

If you are free tomorrow night and located within driving or flying distance (John Wayne is pretty close) to the Tustin District, please join me and other “travel addicts” and “points junkies” for a night of burgers, fries, and secret tips/trick.

If you need a few more reasons to come, here you go…

In N Out Map

I will invite Travel-Summary (Irvine local / travel blogger) and see if Amol (Hack My Trip) or Jamison (Points Summary) can come down from LA and join us.  It will be nice to see some familiar faces and meet some new travel fanatics.

I will be at In-N-Out at 6pm, but come anytime you want.  Last time we were planning on staying until 8pm, but most of us stayed until after 10pm.  Feel free to bring friends or relatives, the more the merrier.  Remember, seating outside is limited and it might get kind of cold in the evening, so bring a sweater or a snuggie (I don’t judge).

If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  See you all tomorrow!

Wish I could go, but I live n NYC, although… not for long! We just found out my husband is getting transferred to L.A., so I’ll be at the next meet up! NYC is difficult for finding VRs w/cc, so I can’t wait to go somewhere where that’s easier. At least, that’s what I’ve heard of SoCal. That’s it’s waaay easier. Hope that’s true!

Congrats on the move. I’m sure you will like the weather a little bit better than NYC. LA is a huge place, do you know which suburb or city within LA county you will be living in? It is about 40-50 minutes (no traffic from LAX to my home to the Tustin District). I look forward to seeing you at the next meet up :)

Believe me, we’ll definitely prefer the awesome SoCal weather! This winter has been brutal on the East Coast… We’ve actually lived in L.A. before, back when we were in college (UCLA), so it’s like a homecoming for us. We’re looking at neighborhoods with great schools, although not really looking forward to owning a car, but I guess will finally take advantage of our Chase Ink 2x points on gas! We’re thinking Woodland Hills/Calabasas/Encino/Sherman Oaks, but don’t really know those areas. Suggestions on other neighborhoods are more than welcome! We’re looking for areas close to parks/hiking/mountain/views of the sea. I guess that’s a lot of places, but any ideas would be great.

My brother goes to UCLA, but I have never lived in LA, so I have no idea where to even start looking. You probably know the area better than me.

What!? No CVS close by? I refuse to come then. ;-) Wish I could make it, but sadly it’s not in the cards today. Keep having these though, I hope to make one someday.

I grew up in Orange County but now live further north, off the 210. My family is all still down there, though, so I’m frequently in the area. I’ve only been playing the points and MS game for about a year, so I’d love to meet others who are into this unique hobby. Most of my friends and family don’t get it.
