Random News: 500 Amtrak Points for MetLife Quote, Uber and Walmart AMEX Statement Credits, and Chicago Seminars Dinner Meetups for Friday and Saturday Night
Good evening everyone, it is now 9:30pm, which means it is T-Minus 12 hours until my great Amtrak Coast Starlight journey begins. If you have no idea what I am talking about, please check out part 1 and part 2. Coincidentally, I received an email from Laura this afternoon regarding an Amtrak promo where you can earn 500 Amtrak Points for calling MetLife and getting an auto or home insurance quote. I haven’t had a chance to get my quote yet, since MetLife’s office is closed right now. To learn more about the promo, check out this link.
In other news, my statement credits for the recent Uber and Walmart AMEX Offers have posted. If you made a purchase in the last few days, your statement credit should have posted as well.
Last but not least, I will be heading to Chicago this weekend for Chicago Seminars. I hope some of you will be in attendance. If you are there, please come find me (I’ll be the one wearing the Travel with Grant shirt) and say Hi. It is always great meeting readers. In addition to the seminars, I always like to do a meetup for dinner. Since I will be in Chicago on Friday afternoon, I will be able to do a meetup on Friday night and Saturday night. The time and location are TBD. I want to get a headcount for those of you interested in attending, so please let me know which days work best for you.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great evening everyone!
Are you going to be in chicago downtown either friday night or Sat night, or in the suburbs?
I will just be by the host hotel in Elk Grove. No plans to go into the city.
Did you buy Walmart e-gift card for $15?
I bought Starbucks egift cards and Subway gift cards.
I also did the Walmart offer and bought $15 subway and Coldstone physical gift cards as I wanted to be right on $15.
Great minds think alike Ny, hopefully your gift cards arrive soon :)
Thanks. It will be tricky for me to get up to Elk Grove. But I will try
Thanks Bhavin, hopefully the traffic won’t be too bad.
