AMEX Offers: McDonald’s, Bulgari, 1-800-Flowers, Personal Creations, Maison Birks, and Staples (Sync)
Yesterday, American Express and McDonald’s announced that you would be able to redeem your Membership Reward Points for McDonald’s purchase (Business Week). I thought to myself: MS for McNuggets. Not for me (for several reasons), but could be good from some people. I also spotted this offer linked to my AMEX Everyday card. I’m lovin’ it!
At the other end of the spectrum, if you are a big shopper at Bulgari, this deal is perfect for you. This offer was probably linked to my AMEX Platinum, not AMEX Everyday card.
Here are a few other AMEX Offers that caught my attention.
Last but not least, Greg (aka Frequent Miler) shared an AMEX Sync offer for $20 off a $100+ Staples order. Read the full post here.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Now I have to get back to my Amtrak posts. Have a great day everyone!
I tweeted the AmEx Staples deal about an hour ago and got a response that the max number of people had signed up. So I guess that deal is dead.
Yes, it looks like AMEX reached the maximum number of people who could get in on the deal. I will try harder to post deals sooner.
Grant, thanks for the Amtrak posts! BTW, are you aware of the $20 Staples rebate when buying $300 in Mastercard Gift cards through Oct 18? Free $!
Yes, I am. I mentioned it briefly at the bottom of this post: http://travelwithgrant.com/2014/10/09/poll-do-you-manufacture-spend-when-you-travel/
I took advantage of the offer on Sunday in Seattle, but I was a few hours too late. All the $200 MC GCs were gone, so I bought 3 $100 MC GCs.
Anyone know if the purchase amount requires 1 transaction or could you buy say $30 for 800flowers then make a separate purchase of $20 or more to get the $15 back? Also, if I used shop discover do you think I’ll still get the cashback?
If you use the Shop Discover Portal, you should earn cash back. To qualify for the AMEX Offer, you have to spend the full amount in one purchase. You cannot split it up into smaller purchases.
