Good morning everyone, happy Good Friday (or just happy Friday since all Friday’s are good). I wanted to share my experience using my CLEAR Card at the Denver Airport. The process is pretty simple. Walk to the TSA screening area and look for the CLEAR line (hint: it will be the line with no one waiting). Walk to the front and present your CLEAR Card to the agent. He will put the card in the machine and ask you to scan your finger print or do an iris scan. I have a hard time using finger print scanners, but the iris scanner worked fine. I then showed my mobile boarding pass to the other TSA Pre-Check agent and proceeded through the metal detector. I did not need to show my drivers license (my iris scan is proof enough).
I’m not sure if CLEAR saved me much time from using the regular TSA Pre-Check line but it was kind of cool to be able to scan my iris to prove my identity. With that said, CLEAR is only in a handful of airports in the United States. Here is their current airport locations:
Yesterday, I received an email from CLEAR about using my CLEAR Card to access San Francisco Giants baseball games at AT&T Park. I guess that is pretty cool, I’m curious to see if they make you scan your finger prints or take an iris scan, that seems like a lot of work to enter a sporting event. I imagine you just show your card and walk through. How this all works is still a mystery. I should be at a SF Giants game soon to test it out.
Have you had a chance to use your CLEAR Card yet? What has been your experience? If you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Have a great weekend everyone!
P.S. I am super duper “back-blogged” and will work on some great blog posts over the weekend. Stay tuned and happy Easter!
Nice review Grant. Didn’t know that you are also a SF Giants fan :)
I wouldn’t say I’m a Giants fan but I like baseball and AT&T ball park is pretty close.
I would assume since it says it’s the same airport experience but at the ballpark you’ll have to scan also. I’ll let you know since I get tickets pretty often
Cool, if you have any extra tickets, I’m always available :)
