Chime Card Prepaid Reloadable Debit Card – Instant Cash Back Card

This is an interesting card, sort of a hybrid between Plink and AMEX Offers for You.  Let that “sync” in for a little bit.  However, unlike Plink and AMEX Offers for You, you do not need to add the offers to your wallet or save the offers to your account to participate in Chime’s offers.  In addition, you do not get paid in Plink Points, instead, you receive instant cash back right on your Chime Card.  Take a look at these offers (offers available as of 7/8/2014):

Also, I wanted to share that my experiment was successful.  2 $250 PayPal withdrawals to my Serve “bank account” counted as direct deposits and earned me a $50 cash back bonus.  To learn more about this promo, please click here.

Breaking News: AMEX Serve and Bluebird Raise Daily Reload Limit from $1,000 to $2,500 per Day

Frequent Miler (link) reported that Bluebird has increased the daily reload limit from $1,000 a day to $2,500 a day, with the same $5,000 monthly reload limit.  I checked Bluebird FAQs and it looks like they quietly increased their online debit card load from $100 a day to $200 a day, with the same $1,000 monthly limit.  I have no idea what else Bluebird changed…

According to Serve’s website (link), you can now load $2,500 per day with “cash” (hopefully gift cards too).  Everything else looks the same.  This is really interesting.

I loaded $900 today to my Serve Card so I am eager to try to load $2,500 tomorrow.  Please report your success/failures loading more than $1,000 at Walmart.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.

The targeted emails and letters in the mail continue to come in.  This time, I received a very interesting email from Hyatt regarding a Hyatt timeshare presentation in Maui, Hawaii.  For $299, you can stay 6 days and 5 nights at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa on Ka’Anapali Beach.  If that wasn’t good enough, you will also get 10,000 Hyatt Gold Passport Points (worth at least $150 in my book).

Greetings from California, I am back from my trip but still feeling the jet-lag.  I’ve been up since 3:30am PST this morning.  Let me get this post out before I fall asleep…

After returning home, I received a few targeted credit card offers worth mentioning.  The first doesn’t seem to be targeted as there is no sign up link, but if you have an AMEX Serve Card, you can get a $50 statement credit after having 2 direct deposits of $250 or more post to your AMEX Serve account by July 31.

Crazy Weekend: UCLA Graduation, San Diego Wedding, LAX Flight, and My Credit Card App-O-Rama Updates

TGI Friday everyone!  This might be my last post for a few days, but I will still be able to answer comments with the WordPress iPhone app.  Here is my schedule this weekend:

  1. Friday Night – My younger brother’s UCLA graduation
  2. Saturday Afternoon – My older brother’s wedding in San Diego
  3. Sunday Night – Family vacation from LAX to Spain/France for 2 weeks

My dad scored 4 award seats 11 months ago for LAX-DUS-BCN on Air Berlin (economy baby, woo hoo!) returning on 4 separate awards seats from MAD-FRA-LAX on Lufthansa (economy again!)  We are doing a big road trip from Barcelona up to Carcassonne, France west to San Sebastián, and down to Madrid.  I imagine some epic World Cup viewing parties in my future.
