Quick Deal: 15% off Panera Gift Card with Chime Card and 3 New AMEX Offers

I dedicate this post to my friend George over at Travel Blogger Buzz (he loves Panera).  If you have a Chime Card, you can receive $3 cash back on a purchase of $20 or more at Panera.  I always buy gift cards for these deals, since it is hard to spend more than $20 at one time, which represents a 15% discount ($3 / $20).  If you want to learn more about Chime Card, please read this post.

Chime Card Update: 3% Fee being Charged to PayPal Business Debit Cards and $200 Maximum Payment

D-Day Fee-Day is upon us.  As of right now, Chime has started charging a 3% fee for PayPal Business Debit Card loads.  I tested on the desktop and from the iPhone app and the result is the same.  I tried adding a credit card to Chime, but that didn’t work either.  Interesting note, there does not seem to be a $25 minimum payment amount, as was previously expected, but the $200 maximum payment limit is enforced.

Here is what the process looks like from the desktop:

October 7 is the Last Day to Load Chime Card Fee Free with PayPal Business Debit Card

The day has finally come… Chime Card (learn more here) will start charging a 3% fee on October 8 for using certain debit cards, specifically the PayPal Business Debit Card.  In this post, I will do some math to see if it is still worth loading the Chime Card with a PayPal Business Debit Card.

Random News: My BACon14 Journey, World of Coca Cola, Dick’s Last Resort, 38 Cent Luxor Winnings, LAS Centurion Lounge, and Several New Chime and AMEX Offers

Good evening everyone!  I am sorry for not writing anything over the last few days, I’ve been really busy working at the Airline Passenger Experience Expo (APEX) in Anaheim last week and then going to Las Vegas on the weekend for BACon14 (Boarding Area Conference 2014).  If you want to see what all your favorite Boarding Area / Prior 2 Boarding bloggers were doing this past weekend, check out the #bacon14 on Twitter (link).

First off, this is Randy Peterson, the “godfather” of miles and points.  He founded FlyerTalk, MilePoint, Boarding Area, and several other miles/points websites and services.  Without him, who knows what any of us would be doing.  You certainly wouldn’t be reading my blog and I certainly wouldn’t be writing my blog if it weren’t for Randy.  If you ever get the opportunity to meet him, go up to him, introduce yourself and thank him for everything he has done for our community.

P.S. It was Randy’s birthday this weekend.  Happy birthday Randy!
