Plink Points not Posting Promptly?  No Problem.

So you signed up for Plink, you registered your Chase Ink credit card, you added Staples to your Plink Wallet, and you bought some Visa / MasterCard gift cards at Staples.  Stop me if this sounds familiar?

Where the heck are your Plink points?!?!

You log into your Plink account 1 day, 2 days, 5 days, 7 days later and still no Plink points.  What is going on?

Join Plink and receive a $5.00 gift card after linking a credit card.

If you have been using Plink for a while and thought about cashing in your Plink points, you may have seen the option to exchange Plink points for $10 in Airline Miles.  I was curious what the offer would be so I took the plunge.  How bad of a deal could it be??

Plink Airline GC

After a few days, I received the following email:

Hello,
I’m so glad you ordered airline miles with your Plink Points. It’s not very clear on the site how the airline miles work, so before I do anything – I just wanted to make sure you knew that you are spending the amount of points you thought you were. We are working on a way to better communicate this…but basically here’s the breakdown…

1,000 Plink Points = 240 airline miles/loyalty points
1,500 Plink Points = 360 airline miles/loyalty points
2,500 Plink Points = 600 airline miles/loyalty points
5,000 Plink Points = 1,200 airline miles/loyalty points
10,000 Plink Points = 2,400 airline miles/loyalty points

And the places you can get those airline miles or loyalty points are: American Airlines Advantage, Frontier Early Returns, US Airways Dividend Miles, and Best Buy Reward Zone.

Is that what you thought you were getting? If so, I’ll get your airline miles/loyatly points code, and send you and email with instructions on how to add those to whatever airline account you have on that list. If not, I’m happy to put the points back into your account so you can choose another reward.

Does that make sense? I just wanted to check with you first since I haven’t done this yet (and I don’t feel like it’s real clear what you’re getting on the site yet, either). Thanks!
