Good morning everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  Are you ready for yet another acquisition?  I just received an email this morning from GiftCardZen that stated that RetailMeNot had acquired them for $22 million in cash, plus an extra $11 million in deferred compensation.  All the details can be found in their press release.

GiftCardZen is one of the premier gift card reselling marketplaces listed on GiftCardGranny.  When I look for gift cards to purchase, I consider Raise and GiftCardZen to be my go to gift card reselling marketplaces.  I have purchased several gift cards and egift cards from them and have never had a problem.

For those on the west coast, GiftCardZen is a great choice.  They are located in Flagstaff, Arizona (about an hour from the Grand Canyon) and they have great customer service.  They even sent me the following letter just for purchasing a few gift cards from them.  I look forward to seeing how this RetailMeNot acquisition improves their gift card offering and service.
