Good afternoon everyone, today’s post is sponsored by CLEAR, but my review of their service is all my own. CLEAR is a membership-based service that allows travelers to get through airport security faster. CLEAR lanes are separate from normal TSA security lines and are often much shorter and faster. Only members with a CLEAR Card can use these expedited security lanes. I’ve used CLEAR a few times at SFO and the process is very efficient. The CLEAR agents are very friendly and are happy to help you out. To learn more about CLEAR, please check out their detailed guide here.
CLEAR is currently available in 11 major airports with more opening very soon. The current list of airports with CLEAR lanes are:
- San Francisco (SFO)
- San Jose (SJC)
- Las Vegas (LAS)
- Denver (DEN)
- Houston (IAH & HOU)
- San Antonio (SAT)
- Dallas (DFW)
- Orlando (MCO)
- Baltimore (BWI)
- Westchester (HPN)
- Miami (MIA) coming soon
To receive your CLEAR Card, follow these 4 steps:
- Sign up online or at any airport CLEAR enrollment center
- Present either a US Passport or a US issued Permanent Resident/Alien Registration Card and an approved secondary ID (State Issued ID, Drivers License, Military ID, or Foreign Passport) at the enrollment center
- Complete the fingerprint and iris scans
- Receive your CLEAR Card in the mail within 1-2 weeks
A CLEAR membership costs $179 annually, or about $15 a month. You can add a spouse to your account for $50 and kids under 18 are free if they are traveling with a CLEAR member. If you are interested in a free 2 month CLEAR membership trial, please click here and use promo code CLEAR2M26.
CLEAR is also expanding into select Major League Baseball parks around the country. Starting at AT&T Park in San Francisco, CLEAR members and their families can now get into the game faster (with an expedited security screening process) with just a tap of their finger.
I was at the Los Angeles Angels vs. San Francisco Giants game on Sunday afternoon and got a chance to use my CLEAR Card to speed through security to enter AT&T Park. The only entrance that supports the CLEAR Card is the Willy Mays Gate by home plate. Just show your CLEAR Card to the agent and then scan your fingerprints to enter the stadium. The process is pretty simple and will save you time if the gates are very busy.
Last but not least, here is my CLEAR Card and I enjoying the view from the right outfield wall.

That’s a really good offer, thanks for sharing.
Just stumbled upon this. Your code is still working and the Visa Signature offer looks to be dead. Is Clear worth it more because of all the current TSA delays if I already have Pre-Check? I’m see more about Pre-Check lines not being sufficiently staffed. Anyone with recent experience since February 2016 (Spring break season)?
Clear can be stacked with TSA PreCheck. It’s more of a front of the line pass, you still go through the same TSA screening machines, but you don’t wait in the standard TSA lines.
Breezed right through in denver
Great to hear, I used it in Denver recently too and it was pretty fast.
Can you cancel after the trial if not satisfied?
Yes, you can cancel before the end of your trial and not be charged a fee.
