Good afternoon everyone. I just received this email from Barclays regarding my Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card. Beginning on August 15, 2021, you will now be able to access your credit card on the Barclays App and on the BarclaysUS.com, along with all of your other Barclays credit cards. There are a few steps you might need to do first after August 15, so read on to find out. I also discovered that there is an upgrade offer from the old no annual fee Barclays Wyndham Rewards Visa Credit Card to the $75 annual fee Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus Credit Card.
This is an improvement, but it should have been possible from the get go to see your Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card in the Barclays App and on BarclaysUS.com.
If you have automatic repeat payments set up, you will need to set them up again. If you have both a personal and business Barclays online account, you will just need to sign into your personal Barclays account after August 15. However, if you only had a business account login, you will need to create a personal Barclays account. If you have employee logins, you will need to set that up again after August 15.
As a reminder, here is the current Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card online portal that can be found at https://www.wyndhambusinesscard.com/businesscard/Login.do?promoCode=BWY. It is kind of ugly and I think this is a white label online portal that TD Bank and Banco Popular also use.
By comparison, here is what the Barclays Wyndham Rewards Visa Credit Card online portal looks like at BarclaysUS.com. It is much cleaner and easier to use.
If you have the old no annual fee Barclays Wyndham Rewards Visa Credit Card, click the Offers tab and see if you have an upgrade offer to the $75 annual fee Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus Credit Card. If you do, click the Select Offer link to learn more.
You could upgrade right away online by clicking the Start My Upgrade button in the upper right corner.
Most of these benefits are the same as the Barclays Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card, but the bonus categories are different. The 7,500 bonus points every year essentially pays for the $75 annual fee. I’m curious if the 10% discount on award stays would stack with the 10% discount from the business card, but I really doubt that is possible. If it was, it would be a no brainer to get this card too.
Since there is no upgrade offer to earn bonus points, you would probably be better off applying for this card as a new card. If you still want to continue with the online upgrade, click the Yes, I Accept button to complete the product change.
If you have any questions about these credit cards, please leave a comment below. Have a great day everyone.
I hit the waiting game on the business. Wasn’t expecting that. Is there a recon number? I heard they can take weeks to respond.
Hi Mike, yes, the business side of Barclays credit cards is very slow and overworked. They tend to ask for supplemental documents like utility bill, driver’s license, and social security card copies to verify your identity. It is a pain in the butt!
I applied in July. It took them 7 days to finish/approve my application. I did not contact them and they did not contact me. I do have a Barclays Business AA card. $1,000 line of credit
Hi Oliver, if you have more than 1 Barclays credit card, you can call Barclays and move your credit lines around. You can do any direction from personal to business, or vice versa.
It looks like Barclays is moving all of their business cards to the new portal. They are moving my AA business card.
“Learn about great NEW improvements coming to your AAdvantage® Aviator® World Elite Business Mastercard®”
That would make sense. I guess the Barclays IT team finally finished setting up the business cards on the same online portal as personal cards.
